Sebastián Pinzón is a Colombian documentary filmmaker. He studied film and television at the Savannah College of Art and Design and a master's degree in documentary media at Northwestern University in Chicago. His directorial work has been screened at festivals such as Locarno, Cínema du Réel, MoMA Doc Fortnight,  True/False, RIDM, and New Directors / New Films and has received support from Catapult, Sundance, Visions SudEst, the National Cinematography Fund of Colombia, and Nia Tero. His film Palenque won Best Latin American Short in FICValdivia in 2017. Sebastián was an assistant editor for MINDING THE GAP (2019 Oscar Nominee). He has since worked as editor and cinematographer for productions for National Geographic, Honnold Foundation, and the Truth Commission of Colombia. Sebastián was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film in the United States by Filmmaker Magazine in 2019. He is co-founder of Jarana Cine, SITE Collective, and Video Consortium Colombia, a global network of support and connection between documentary filmmakers.

Avant-Garde was born in 2014 in Bogota - Colombia, by a filmmaker that wanted to have the creative freedom to develop his ideas and grow professionally in a country that is a current hub of video and sound production worldwide. In the beginning, we dedicated ourselves exclusively to audiovisual projects, and we complemented our portfolio, providing services such as; rental and loans of equipment for the entertainment industry. In 2017, we made a strategic alliance with Aura Records to strengthen our services in sound design and music production, offering premium services that meet international standards of quality. Three years later, at the beginning of 2020, we expanded our headquarters to provide a physical space development of artistic and multicultural projects. Growing up in a country like Colombia, submerged in such terrible conditions of injustice, hunger, illness and beauty makes it impossible to look the other way. I studied History, obsessed with memory recording and primary sources. The camera is my tool to keep track of those things that cant fit in my head any more, stories so robust that demand a couple extra TeraBytes. I expect to give voice to lost causes and ignored heroes. I do this for pleasure but sure hope to gain something more; Conscious perhaps, impact or at least leverage. In a world full of images you can´t help to think twice every time you want to press the “rec” button. My name is Theo Hessing, I'm a British videographer based in Medellín, Colombia. Since 2015 I've worked as a freelance cameraman, multimedia journalist and field producer producing documentaries and video content around Latin America for online news media, television and NGOs, focusing on human rights/women's/lgbt+ rights, human trafficking and climate change. I have covered a variety of subjects including the Venezuelan migration crisis, the Colombian peace process, the massacre of environmental activists in Honduras, sex trafficking in Mexico and the 'double jeopardy' of forcible displacement by conflict and climate change. I was born in Bogotá, Colombia but grew up in several cities across the country. My first works in video were done when I was an antropology student at the Universidad de Antioquia. Since that time I have worked in advertising, editorial production, and photography.
