I am a freelance producer and journalist with seventeen years in media production including work with National Geographic, the US State Department, and many boutique production companies in the Washington, DC area. I am intimately connected to the production community in DC. Most recently I have been serving as a Field Producer with the US Foreign Press Center and for the National Association of Broadcasters. I cover local and grassroots themes in the Washington area and eastern US. I earned a journalism scholarship from the Maine Community Foundation for graduate studies and have a Masters of Fine Art in Film. I am, first and foremost, a storyteller. I am interested in telling stories that bring people together from all walks of life and giving a voice to those whose stories are not being told. I live in Brooklyn and was a recent graduate of the Feirstein Graduate School of cinema where I received my MFA in Screenwriting. Currently, I'm an adjunct professor at Hofstra University, where I teach Television writing and I make short films for schools and non-profits. Prior to that, my background consists of teaching at a middle school in the South Bronx for 13 years, a deckhand on a whale-watching boat, and as the Retail Marketing Manager for a music marketing firm that specialized in Indie Rock and Hip Hop.

I've been making images for newspapers and documentaries for thirteen years. My schooling is in TV/Broadcasting and I brought that to the three daily newspapers for which I worked full-time for eight years after college. Five years ago I became an independent photographer and have been relied upon to help shoot numerous projects for businesses, schools, universities and two HBO Documentaries, The Cheshire Murders, which aired in 2013 and The Newburgh Sting which was nominated for the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism. Credits include THE FORGOTTEN WAR, a PBS historical documentary about the French and Indian War. Jika González is an award-winning documentary filmmaker from Mexico City. She is based in New York where she works as a freelance cinematographer and producer. She holds a M.S. from the Columbia Journalism School where she occasionally teaches video and photography. Her work has taken her across the US and around the world where she has focused on telling stories about identity, the human consequences of immigration policy, and climate change. Harry Dwinell is a multimedia artist with professional experience as a photographer, videographer, director, editor, and drone operator (licensed). After his time as a Peace Corps volunteer in The Gambia, Harry received his Masters in Media Studies at The New School in addition to completing their Documentary Film program. In completing his masters, Harry directed and edited a short form (23-minute) documentary concerning the Peace Corps. The film looks to create a dialogue concerning the issues of the Peace Corps and push against the organization's curated image with hopes of potential reform. Currently, Harry is living in Vermont seeking work as a video editor, drone operator, photographer, or videographer. He is willing and eager to travel for work.

Andrew Stehney Vargas is a bilingual (eng-span) writer, director, producer and photographer. Katherine Filaseta is an emerging filmmaker originally from South Carolina. While at Washington University in St. Louis, Katherine acted in a few student films and researched tropes of globalization in Bollywood. After graduating with a degree in International Studies, Katherine limited her involvement in film to reviewing films on her feminist blog ("Complaining About Things I Like") and podcast ("Filmi Talks"), while studying Hindi in India and teaching children performing arts. Realizing that teaching was not her true passion, she decided to enroll in a short filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy. Recently graduated from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and have done general assignment/breaking news work for the NY Daily News, worked as an editorial producer for a PBS documentary, worked as investigative fellow on an series about mold in NYC public housing, and produced/shot/edited my own work. She edited for the award-winning interactive Hollow and shot and edited for Boston-based interactive Wander, Wonder, Wilderness. Sarah recently finished shooting and editing a feature documentary titled Best and Most Beautiful Things. She wandered into the audio world and started a podcast with Elaine Sheldon that features women working in media. Mahala is a director and producer with Courageous Studios, the brand studio for CNN. Previously she was a video journalist working at the Denver Post from 2010-2015. In that time she had the opportunity to grow with the newspaper’s developing video department, from working on daily video and breaking news to producing both short and feature length documentaries exploring themes and issues integral to the Denver and Colorado community. Her work has been recognized by Picture of the Year International, the Heartland Chapter Emmy Awards, and the National Edward R. Murrow Awards.
