For 15+ years I’ve enjoyed working on films and television series on 7 continents as a producer and EMMY-nominated cinematographer for content seen on Al Jazeera, Discovery, Hulu, NYT, PBS, Netflix, Showtime, and VICE. EARLY INSPIRATION IN STORYTELLING As an adventurous kid, I would anxiously await visits from my Aunt Diana Nyad (yes, the famous swimmer!) to tell stories of sled riding at the Alaskan Iditarod or diving with whales in Patagonia while working as an on-air correspondent for ABC Wild World of Sports. Diana's experiences helped set my eyes on a future in storytelling and I spent my college summers working 80 hours/week as an NBC Production Assistant, plotting my post-college career in Hollywood. FROM UNDERGRAD TO GLOBAL ADVENTURER Destined for my own adventures, I finished undergrad in Barcelona, backpacked around Latin America and Asia, landed in war-torn Colombia volunteering for human rights orgs, and found a new drive to make a positive impact on the world. A Hollywood assistant job didn’t sound attractive anymore, yet work in Colombia wasn't paying the bills so I attended UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism to acquire real-world journalism training while working as an Assoc. Producer for the doc series PBS Frontline/World and as a summer reporting fellow at the Phnom Penh Post, Cambodia. After winning the best doc prize at Berkeley, I felt I was on the path to a meaningful career. After film school, I started my career in New York City as a Production Assistant and editor. It was exciting to balance my time between production and being on set and post production and editing a project for months at a time. My first producing job was a music video for James Taylor. I moved to Los Angeles and produced music videos and commercials. Soon after, I found myself going to Nashville to produce country music videos for Brooks and Dunn, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Dolly Parton, Martina McBride. I have been nominated for 14 Academy Of Country Music Awards for Producer / Best Music Video and have won the award 5 times. I have made it a point to learn as much as I can from every department on a movie set or in post production. This comes in handy when budgeting and dealing with problems that arise during production. Patrick T. Fallon is a photojournalist in Los Angeles specializing in news, features and sports: looking to capture unique moments of life with every assignment. Editorial clients include the Los Angeles Times, The New York Times, Bloomberg News, Associated Press, Agence France-Presse, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, and The Dallas Morning News. He also has demonstrated his experience as a skilled field editor under extremely tight deadlines at major events including the Olympics, Stanley Cup, NBA Finals, World Series, Grammy Awards, and NASA Curiosity Mars Rover landing. In these situations production deadlines were met enabling global wire service distribution and saving significant press time for newspaper production. In 2018 he was honored with a Humanitarian Award from the National Press Photographers Association for his actions to help a woman from her burning home in Redondo Beach, California. He is currently serving as a board member for the NPPA. He received two awards from Pictures of The Year International (POYi) for coverage of the 2016 U.S. election and the impact of wildfires in the wake of California’s historic drought. His coverage of the Joplin, Missouri tornado was also recognized by College Photographer of the Year. A graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, his collegiate experiences gave him a tour across the country, including the Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News, the Houston Chronicle, the Valley News in New Hampshire and the picture desk at ZUMA Press. Savannah Bloch is an American/South African filmmaker and graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. Her feature film directorial debut, And Then There Was Eve, won a 2017 Jury Award at the Los Angeles Film Festival and opened numerous Women’s Film Festivals across the U.S. As a digital producer/cinematographer, Savannah created 50+ mini-documentaries for Hearst Digital Media and over 300 videos for medical education. Shooting documentary footage of Chinese neocolonialism in Nicaragua, the eviscerating impact of shrapnel on Syrian refugees and rural surgery in remote Bolivia have reshaped her view of the world and unearthed more questions. As a cinematographer, Savannah shot the award-winning feature film, Quality Problems and has worked with brands such as Us Weekly, Popsugar, TLC, and Netflix. Savannah studied stage directing in NYC at The Barrow Group and afterwards honed her skills as an actor’s director in two plays. One is a dark comedy about a dysfunctional family and the second probes the post-9/11 Sikh experience. Currently, Savannah is in post-production on an Irish music documentary. Savannah runs a weekly director’s workshop in Hollywood called The Sandbox and teaches cinematography at USC. Her passions include social innovation, feminism, surfing and veganism.
