I like telling hidden, character-driven stories with a video camera. I have a passion for people and a dedication to excellence. I've been doing journalism since I was 10 years old and there's not enough I could learn about the art of telling stories. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in telecommunication and film with a focus on sports broadcasting, I decided to share my passion with future generations as a 2013 Teach For America corps member where I taught 7th grade for two years. I have always been completely passionate about my job and continuously looking forward improving my professional experiences. I was born in Brazil and came to the US for the first time in 2011 to have an exchange experience in the state of Indiana, where I studied at Ball State University. For four years, I've been a reporter and editor for a big music festival in Southern Brazil called Planeta Atlantida. Nyier Abdou is an American video journalist, filmmaker and multimedia producer. A longtime newspaper reporter, she worked as a print reporter based in Cairo for more than six years. In 2005, she moved back to the U.S. to join The Star-Ledger newspaper, where she worked for nine years and moved from print to video journalism, going on to produce award-winning documentaries and news features with the paper. She is comfortable shooting hard news, news features and long-form documentary and edits in both Premiere and Final Cut Pro. Bohdana Smyrnova started making films at the age of 17 in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her short film Les demarches des papiers had already received international recognition when she moved to New York in 2005 to join NYU's graduate film program with the Dean's Fellowship. Till date, Bohdana's shorts have been screened at more than 200 events around the world including French theatrical release and prestigious festivals such as Rotterdam, Clermont-Ferrand, Taipei Golden Horse, and Slamdance, garnering over 20 awards. A film maker with a distinct voice, Bohdana explores through her stories complex human relationships, desires conflicting with reality, and situations that pose no right choice. She is currently developing a 'Nirvana Guesthouse' feature film to be shot in 2015 in India, USA, and Ukraine.

Tom Bentey is a Jersey boy made good. Tom grew up in Edison, New Jersey and spent his summers at the Jersey Shore. He studied English at Rutgers, and acted in several student films and plays. Tom’s new found passion for acting changed his path in life, as he went on to act in many Off-Broadway plays and independent films. After three years of being in front of the camera, Tom developed an interest in directing and began to write his own screenplays.Tom enrolled in the Masters of Arts program in Media Studies at The New School in New York City, to hone his newfound interest in the art and craft of filmmaking. It is at the New School, where Tom wrote, directed and starred in his first feature length film “At The Jersey Shore“. Kayla Tong (b. 1993) is a cinematographer and director. She was born in colonial Hong Kong, molded by Los Angeles, and briefly called Missouri and Lisbon home in between. After graduating from USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2015, her narrative and documentary work have screened in a number of venues such as The New Yorker Documentary Series, Busan International Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, LA Asian Pacific Film Festival, and LA Shorts Fest. Kayla is a Busan’s Asian Film Academy's cinematography fellow, a Visual Communications’s Armed with a Camera Fellowship directing fellow. Kayla's rootless upbringing and encounters with people from around the world inform the themes of much of her work, telling stories of diaspora and displacement. JAY GUNNING grew up in rural Australia. Chris Esper is an award-winning director based out of Attleboro, MA. Originally from New Jersey, Chris developed a passion and love for film at a very young age. When he was in his teens, he received his first camera and started experimenting with it. After high school, he attended New England Institute of Technology in East Greenwich, RI where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Digital Recording Arts. He has since directed several short films which have gone on to screen at a number of film festivals and win several awards.
