Sarah Batista is an award – winning journalist, speaker, entrepreneur and filmmaker. Before launching Stories to Inspire, Sarah spent a decade as a reporter and anchor in local television news. In 2013, she left WBTV news in Charlotte after seven years to pursue her dream of documentary filmmaking. As an investigative reporter, Sarah covered a wide range of issues and draws upon that experience in her storytelling. Her four part "Beyond the Border" series filmed in Mexico won her the Large Market Feature Award from the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She also contributes reports to the weekly news magazine show ‘Carolina Impact’ on WTVI PBS Charlotte. Sarah is a creative, "outside the box" thinker who is passionate about traveling and experiencing new adventures.

Pilar Timpane is a filmmaker and producer based in Durham, NC. Her work has focused on women's stories, immigration narratives, and religious communities with the aim of using storytelling for social change. She holds a BA from Rutgers University and a Masters in Theological Studies from Duke University Divinity School. She co-directed and produced SANTUARIO (2019, PBS/ReelSouth & AlJazeera). SANTUARIO was the winner of the Best Documentary Short Jury Prize at New Orleans Film Festival 2018 as well as the Crested Butte ActNow Award and the IF/Then Shorts American South Pitch. She is an alumna of the New Orleans Film Society Southern Producers Lab, Indie Grits Real Fiction Lab, and Women in Film/Stella Artois Finishing Fund. She was named a 2021 Ella Fountain Pratt Emerging Artist by the Durham Arts Council. Pilar is a 2022 ITVS/NEH Humanities Documentary Development Fellow and a Logan Nonfiction Program Fellow, working on her first feature film as director, about the changing role of women in the Catholic Church.

Erin Hull is a freelance videographer and photographer working in North Carolina. Derek Alan Rowe (Director, Editor, Motion Graphics Animator) is a co-founder of Doctrine Creative with offices in Orlando, Fl and Durham, NC. Zac Gooch is a storyteller. He doesn't use a pen or paper. He uses raw moments and moving pictures to weave a tale that can only be told through the lens. At the age of 17, Zac started shooting at WVIR in Charlottesville, VA. During his time there, he learned the basics of photography. He covered hurricanes, tornadoes, and floods. He was there when the Queen of England came to visit Virginia. He also traveled to New Orleans to cover the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Sheena Vaught is a filmmaker from southeastern North Carolina. Growing up and having a passion for film and storytelling, Sheena earned a Film Studies degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she learned much about the history of cinema, production and film criticism. Sheena's first film that she wrote, directed and composed was an experimental film entitled Water (2010). Sheena went on to direct two documentaries, Colestine (2011) and God In My Fingers, the latter still being a works-in-progress, screened at the Cucalorus Film Festival as well as the Cultural Spirit Online Film Festival. Having her heart set on narrative directing, Sheena pursued a career as a script supervisor, working on feature films such as Frat Brothers (2013), The Perfect Summer (2013) & Adrenaline (2015) to name a few. As a script supervisor Sheena was able to learn first hand about film directing and is now writing and producing more short films to market herself as a viable director. I look at each video project as a blank canvas to produce my form of creative video production on. I'm a compassionate video professional that began my career in television news at WSOC-TV Channel 9 - Charlotte while serving as the Chief Video Editor of daybreak, evening, and then later, the prime time 5:00PM newscast. My career furthered as a full-time show editor for NASCAR Productions and a freelance cinematographer at smaller circuit races for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Series. I'm also a voice-over talent. My voice has been used on many radio ads, tv commercials, corporate videos and advertisement bumpers. I was the former show voice for various nationally televised sports shows that aired on Fox Sports Net and Speed Channel. I then founded my own video production firm in 2005 and haven't looked back.
