I am a young Uruguayan multimedia journalist and filmmaker currently based in Aarhus, Denmark. As a recipient of the Erasmus Mundus Journalism Programme scholarship, I am pursuing an MA in Journalism, Media and Globalization at Aarhus University and Swansea University, where I will specialize in War & Conflict Journalism. Before moving to Europe, I was a video journalist at El Observador, a newspaper from Montevideo, Uruguay. I also had the privilege to be a video editing professor at Universidad de Montevideo, where I got my Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 2014. Daniel is a filmmaker, curator and creator. I am a Danish photojournalist and video producer holding a BA in photojournalism from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. I am founder of the Bombay Flying Club which is an international and award winning multimedia agency that focuses on in-depth stories on social-, humanitarian- or environmental issues. I am a 2013 first prize winner in POYi and a previous jury member of the World Press Photo Multimedia contest. When I don't shoot and produce narratives for the web I teach masterclasses in visual storytelling all over the world. I like stories that are set and build up around compelling characters. In my world stories that have the greatest impact are stories the either connect on an emotional or intellectual level with their audience. I basicly want stories to be personal, no matter the subject. People relate to people. I do a lot of post production work these days and so I am delighted to finally find a platform that seems to cater for the things I really like to do. I am a dedicated DSLR shooter (currently Canon 5D Mark III) and I have great experience with video/audio editing and efficient post production workflows.
