In 2017 I won the international journalism prize, Rey de España in the category of Environmental Journalism and Sustainable Development with the documentary Lead, Invisible Poison. In the same year, I obtained the journalism prize, Álvaro Gómez Hurtado for the report, The Girls from the Bronx Speak. In 2015 I received the National Prize of Journalism CPB for the best work for television with the report, Meciendo mi Cuna. I'm currently a Rosalynn Carter Fellow for Mental Health Journalism.

In 2016 Adam received a “Great Performances” grant to make a film about the creator of NYC bucket drumming (still in production.) From that he founded his company Island City Studios and has been directing, producing, filming and editing projects ever since.
