In the past, I've created a video series for LA Weekly called "Abuelitas and Chefs" which tells the stories of Mexican chefs in L.A. and how they are influenced by their grandmother's. Vanessa Crocini is an Italian journalist, award winning documentary filmmaker, photographer and Emmy nominated producer, currently located in Los Angeles. She graduated in Film from University of Bologna after being an exchange student at University of California, Santa Barbara. After completing a Post Graduate Program in Entertainment Studies at UCLA, she developed her interest in documentaries. Vanessa has worked on several film, commercial, music videos and documentary productions in Italy, Los Angeles and in the African continent. She has collaborated with the Italian national television RAI, Bonsai TV and Agon Channel. Her passion for documentaries has brought to several journalistic collaborations for several Italian film magazines and blogs. Her first feature length award winning documentary, Get Together Girls was produced by Vasco Rossi, the most famous Italian rockstar, for whom she shot the music video Mary Luise. Vanessa is part of SIMA (Social Impact Media Awards) as one of the journalists and members of the selection committee and her intention is keeping on writing about and making films that focus on social issues and expose impact topics. Among the projects she has worked on, The Empowerment Project, nominated for an Emmy Award by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter: National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, is one collaboration she is proud of. Augusto graduated with a master's degree in cinematography from the American Film Institute (AFI) from which he received a scholarship from Audi USA on behalf of the AFI Awards television series The Mandalorian. Hi, I am a creative and adventure videographer/photographer based out of Newport Beach, CA. I am looking to tell the stories of the unique people and places that this world has to offer. My passion for videography and photography started back during my senior year of college when I was attending Chico State. Throughout my time there I was really unsure about what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I kept jumping back and fourth between wanting to start all sorts of different things. First, it was wanting to design cars. Next, it was wanting to design snowboards. Then, I wanted to start a clothing brand and design t-shirts. But there was something that all of these things had in common...I wanted to create. It wasn't until I picked up my first camera, a GoPro, that I knew this is what I wanted to create for life. I found my passion for videography and photography after four years of college and 100 credits later. Would have been nice to find it my freshmen year when I could have changed my major...but hey, what are you going to do? I started taking my camera every where with me. Anytime that my friends and I went hiking, cliff-jumping, camping, snowboarding, wakeboarding, dirtbiking, rollblading, and dirtbiking. You name it and my GoPro was by my side capturing all of my most memorable moments in life. Since then, my passion grew more and more for videography and photography that it became apart of my everyday life. It is so much more to me than just creating beautiful images and videos. It is an outlet for me to display my emotions and create the art that is important to me. It has helped me with every aspect of my life and turned me into the person I am today.

Rosie Haber is an aesthetically minded writer and director whose work spans the narrative, doc, and VR spaces. She is a graduate of NYU Tisch and has been a fellow of Film Independent’s Project Involve, Outfest’s Screenwriting lab, and AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. She won the Audience Award at LA Film Festival and the New Orleans Film Festival, a Webby award, and was nominated for a 2017 GLAAD award for her digital documentary series New Deep South—the third episode of which premiered at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. Haber was a 2017 Sundance New Frontiers Lab fellow and the writer of the upcoming film adaptation of the classic transgender novel Stone Butch Blues and on the GLAAD award winning series, We’ve Been Around. Her next project is called Brujas - a young adult television show with conceptual horror elements. When she's not working on her own projects, she shoots doc and branded content for the likes of Allure, Buzzfeed, and The Atlantic. I would like to continue to grow, and move forward with my career as a Director. I have been a paid videographer since I was 15 years old, studied cinema at George Mason University, and New York Film Academy, freelanced on major commercial sets with Jonas Akerlund for two years in Los Angeles, CA, and have been with Buzzfeed for what will be the total of 9 mos. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Buzzfeed’s VR and 360 department using the Odyssey camera from Google. VR greatly interests me, and I believe it to be the “final frontier” of cinema. I am an avid traveler, and have been globe trotting since before I could walk. I completed a feature-length documentary, "Sailing On A Shoestring", for my senior thesis in college. The film is about my dad, who built his own boat during the height of the Apartheid in South Africa, and then proceeded to cross the Atlantic three times. The documentary allows him to relive his memories of sailing, and follows him in search of his vessel's fate. More recently, I have completed three short documentaries. Two of which from Film Stuff Productions in Italy and Poland, and the third with Buzzfeed.

I, Dave (DG) Sorafine have been working in television since I was 15 years old. My passion for being behind the camera and documenting anything and everything started at a very early age. Jared Chiang-Zeizel is a published author, award-winning writer, filmmaker and avid lucid dreamer. He opted out of a typical high school life and spent the better part of his senior year in China. Upon his return to the States, Jared attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. There he wrote several feature films and directed numerous shorts. While attending NYU, he won the David Chase Honorary Scholarship Award for Screenwriting. He graduated 2009 with a BFA in Film & Television Production. In that time, Jared interned at Sony Pictures and Rabbit Content. The years to follow, Jared worked at Discovery Channel and served as a creative director to Candlefly Productions. He would later co-found Visioneers Media in 2012. In 2013, his book ‘A Field Guide to Lucid Dreaming‘ was released by Workman Publishing. Upon its release, the book was an indie bestseller and is now available in 11 languages. Jared has been featured on NPR, Vice.com, Fox News, Oprah.com, and numerous other media outlets. He has contributed work to Men's Health and Tricycle Magazine. Jared currently works as a freelance writer and script supervisor and occasionally produces short-form work through Visioneers Media. Additionally, he is a lucid dreaming teacher and dream consultant. He has an insatiable appetite for the unknown, loves applying metaphors to an ever-confusing world and finds great solace in baking pies.

Ashley Gutierrez is a filmmaker and photographer. She uses visual storytelling to generate awareness around complex international issues and is driven by a deep pursuit to use media to explore the commonalities that connect people across cultures. Originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, her love of story has taken her around the world. She has a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a resume checkered with everything from creating on-air promotional pieces at VH1 to developing news packages for local media outfits to filming grassroots documentaries throughout east and central Africa. On staff for over six years with the media-based non-profit organization Invisible Children, she created documentaries and short films, started an art department in Gulu, Uganda, and acted as the lead editor and videographer. Ashley is the Founder and Creative Director of Cliff Co., an Impact Storytelling Agency. She devotes her time to creating feature documentaries and short films for brands and causes. She specializes in connecting stories and issues to the people and motivations behind them, and is dedicated to portraying them in a thoughtful and honest way. She believes a well-told story can connect and ignite us all to serve as a catalyst for social impact and - ultimately - change. She is available for freelance work and creative consultation.
