Adam Garrett-Clark holds a Bachelors of Science in Print Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College, Boston Massachusetts. While backpacking through Central America he founded a monthly Tourism Magazine, in Leon Nicaragua. As lead writer, editor and ad salesman, LeonEazy published six issues, distributing 1500 copies in town, and became a force in the local economy. In 2007 he returned to the states, taking a job as an ad salesman for a weekly newspaper in Northern Manhattan, New York. His intent was to write. Isara is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and freelance director of photography and editor based in Oakland, CA. As a kid I was sure of one thing: when I was older I was going to be a Ghostbuster. I was going to haul my Proton Pack and Ghost Trap around in the Ecto-1, live in an old firehouse, and save my hometown from the tyranny of paranormal beings, three of my best buds in tow. When I came to learn that Ghostbusters weren’t real, but were instead fictional characters created for a movie, I did the rational thing and made my first and only career move into film making. The logic being, maybe I couldn’t be a Ghostbuster, but I could help make them… and hopefully meet one. Before attending film school I toured the country playing rowdy punk music with my non-Ghostbuster best buds. I gained a lot of experience on the road and through it accustomed myself to being exhausted, uncomfortable, and sometimes starving all the while chasing after creativity as fast as our beat-up van would go. I eventually made my way to San Francisco where I attended the Academy of Art University and studied cinematography. I again found myself in a state of lacking human comforts, but overflowing creatively. As a result of that experience and the connections I made within my program I was able to get myself onto set working as a First AC on numerous films, commercials, and music videos, leading me into my current role as a Director of Photography. As such, I practice technically adept filmmaking with a focus on igniting the imagination and pulling on the heart strings of my audience, the kind of film making that would make anyone want to be a Ghostbuster.

My name is Rosa Amanda Tuirán and I am a Mexican documentary filmmaker, photographer and investigative journalist based in the Bay Area. I received my Master of Journalism from UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism in May 2020. I worked as a News Video Fellow at BuzzFeed News and was a National Association of Hispanic Journalists Fellow at CBS News in 2019. In March 2020, I was part of the COVID-19 reporting project with the Investigative Reporting Program and The New York Times to help meet the need for comprehensive reporting on how the Covid-19 crisis affected California. After graduating, I worked on a PBS Frontline investigation, and have continued to pursue independent work about climate change and insecurity in Mexico. In November 2020, I published an investigation in The Counter about a meatpacking plant in Southern California that illustrates the national failure of OSHA to protect workers. After graduating from Wesleyan University as a Film Studies major – Tara moved to Los Angeles in 2011 where she interned on the TV show Leverage before landing a job at the boutique ad agency Illumin8Creative. Within two years, Tara rose from Assistant Editor to Lead Editor, cutting trailers and sizzles for clients like Sony, Lionsgate and Miramax as well as company profiles and corporate videos for clients like Bank of the West. After a decade in the film & video industry, Dan realized that in a web-centric world, the captive audience that broadcast commercials took for granted no longer exists. He believes that authentic, entertaining, and meaningful content is what drives people to share a story--not a powerpoint slide filled with value propositions. He started Slow Clap in 2014 with the hopes of having an outlet to tell stories authentically; something he rarely got to do once he left film school. Dan was trained at NYU, where he received a B.F.A. in Film Production from the Tisch School of the Arts. He originally grew up on the Main Line of Philadelphia, but has lived in San Francisco’s Mission District since 2008. He’s collaborated with hundreds of brands like Sony PlayStation, Capital One, TNT, Apple, Google, Norton, Campari, Blue Shield of CA, and Environmental Defense Fund. His short films have appeared in festivals like SF DocFest, Oxford International, Cannes, and others. When you ask his team, they will tell you that Dan is the first to acknowledge when he’s wrong. Meera Angelica Joshi is an international filmmaker who was born in New Zealand, raised in Australia and currently lives in New York, USA. Meera started making films in high school which gained recognition from teachers and peers. She followed her dream to New York University to pursue writing and directing. I'm a San Francisco-based storyteller working for a more equal and integrated society. Margaret Cheatham Williams is an Emmy-nominated independent film producer and editor, currently seeking opportunities and collaborations in the film, audio, and outdoor space. Previously Margaret Cheatham was a documentarian at The New York Times, where she pitched, produced, shot and edited narrative and documentary video and photography. I’m a French-American journalist who films, produces, and edits documentaries. I'm a film fellow and producer at Still I Rise Films. I shoot and edit films for A Moment in Time Productions. Most recently, I directed and edited a short documentary that spans 10 years of San Francisco's "Flower Man." The film won the Grand Jury Award for Best Short Documentary at the United Nations Association Film Festival and the grand prize at the 2021 San Francisco Independent Short Film Festival. Melina Tupa is an award-winning Argentinean and Brazilian journalist and documentary filmmaker, specializing in human rights and Latino issues across the world. She started her career as a print reporter for Billiken magazine and Diagonal Newspaper in Argentina but soon moved onto visual journalism. She worked for five years as an associate TV producer, three of those years at Turner Broadcasting System. There she wrote and produced short news formats that aired during commercial breaks, in-between shows and were shared on social media in nearly every Latin American country. Melina holds a Bachelor in Journalism degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina and a Master of Journalism degree from UC Berkeley, focusing on Documentary Filmmaking and Photojournalism. At the Berkeley J-School, Melina was awarded a TV/Documentary Merit Fellowship and the Carlos M. Castañeda Journalism Scholarship. Her documentary thesis The Search, told the story of Estela de Carlotto, the president of the Grandmothers of the Plaza de Mayo, whose grandson was abducted during the Argentinean military dictatorship. The documentary is a Student Academy Award finalist, a recipient of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Excellence in Journalism Award for Student Special Project in addition to several other awards, and has been featured in different film festivals across the world. In her free time she enjoys playing the guitar, singing and taking 35mm photographs.
