I'm a videographer and editor based in Los Angeles, working primarily in the music world but open to all projects. I have worked as a DP on independent shorts and fashion editorials, shot/edited various behind-the-scenes videos, shot/directed/edited a number of music videos, and have worked as an editor and assistant editor on popular YouTube reality shows, among other roles. Prior to this experience, I ran a Greek food company for which I also did food photography and videography. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2015 with a degree in Culture and Politics, emphasis on media and the environment. At Georgetown, I studied documentary film, worked as the university photographer/videographer, interned at a documentary production company in New York, and worked on several student film projects, one of which went on to screen at festivals worldwide.

I'm a documentary filmmaker and camerawoman with a passion for social justice. Armed with little more than a camera and backpack, I have traveled the world documenting stories from the margins, inspired by legions of women, workers, activists and young people dedicating their lives and loves to social change. John Javellana (b. 1984, Philippines) is a photojournalist based in Los Angeles, CA. His professional career started in 2008 as he was completing his degree as a Communication Arts major at the De La Salle University when he was hired as a stringer for the Reuters News Agency. After completing his degree, he became one of the youngest photojournalists to work for the wire agencies in the country and has covered most of the major news event up to this day. I love traveling, I love adventure, but most of all I love producing video stories. I've been working in video production since 2012 when I started graduate school at the University of Southern California. It was there that I learned the craft of documentaries. I spent two years living in Anchorage, Alaska, traveling around the state producing videos for Alaska Public Media. My videos ranged from mini documentaries for our Indie Alaska series, to underwriting spots for our sponsors. I now freelance out of Southern California. I'm a one-man band. Juan A. Izaguirre is a Mexican-American filmmaker that works in both the narrative and documentary realms of filmmaking. Through evocative and purposeful imagery, Juan focuses his lens on stories surrounding identity and its intersections with race, ethnicity, sexuality, and gender norms within our communities.
