I freelanced throughout my time at college, then dropped out to take a full-time job in Alabama for a start-up lifestyle magazine called Society South. There, I was Director of Photography, was mentored by Emmy Award winning group StillMotion, and got invaluable experience on RED Epic cameras. After about 2 years there, I moved to New York and began working for Eater.com under Vox Media as a shooter/editor. The Meat Show, a series I helped to shot and edited for Eater went on to be nominated for a NY Emmy. From there, I went on to be the Director/Producer of Video for GQ Magazine. I was the only in-house video person, wearing many hats, and created over 100 videos in 1 year for them -- many receiving several million views. I recently moved to Los Angeles to freelance and pursue creating more narrative shorts. Some of my clients include Condé Nast, Hearst, Vox Media, The Chive, and Univision. I am a RED Epic Dragon owner/operator.
