I am a visual artist from Chile, based in Berlin. I grew up in the colorful and artistic city of Valparaíso, where my interest in photography and film began. With a BA in Audiovisual Arts I have developed a career as a video editor, managing to work in several important TV channels in Chile, specializing in editing documentaries and TV shows about travel, art and fashion. At the same time, I have always been linked to photography, collaborating with different local artists. My interest in seeing the world led him to move to Berlin in 2019 where my career continued to expand. In my years in Berlin I have participated in projects such as "DULCE", an award winning short film at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival (Argentina), SOIFF (Spain), Dhaka Film Festival (Bangladesh), among many others. PIPPA SAMAYA is a Berlin based photographer and film-maker with an international body of work. Awards include two-time winner of the International 60 Second Dance Film Competition (Denmark/Finland),the Australian Dance Award for Excellence in Dance on Film, winner of Best Film at the FAD Film Festival, North Carolina (US), The Berlin Motion Picture festival (Germany) and the Portland dance film festival (USA). Winner of Best Music Video at the NIMA awards, selected as a winner in the international Life Framer awards (Faces of life), exhibited finalist at the National Photography Prize, finalist in the Martin Kantor Portrait prize at the Ballarat International Foto Biennale in 2017, nominee for the International Fine Arts Photography Award and winner of Best Action Shot and Excellence in Staged Photography in the SALON exhibit at the Centre for Contemporary Photography (CCP) in Melbourne. With an insatiable curiosity for the complexities of the human experience, Pippa’s professional path turned instinctually toward the world of portraiture and international documentary/humanitarian work. She joined with USA based NGO One Voice over several years traveling to remote villages in India and Nicaragua as well as a Syrian Refugee camp in Greece. A specialisation in dance photography stemmed from the discovery that dancers provided a deeply empathetic physical vessel, which enabled her to communicate through external imagery the internal world of the human psyche. This lead on to extensive work in the contemporary dance industry in Australia, New Zealand and Europe working with leading companies and choreographers. Notable to much of this work is her collaborative film company The Samaya Wives, formed with Australian contemporary dancer Tara Jade Samaya. Using dance on camera as a medium, coming together in life and in creation to explore the many colours and tones of what it means to be alive on this earth and reveal the innate one-ness that ultimately links us all. I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. I grew up in Bodrum which is located in south of Turkey. After I finished highschool in Bodrum, I left to Istanbul for university studies. I studied in Sabancı Universit for one year. After, I left to Lodz, Poland for my main interest which is cinema. In Polish National Film School in Lodz I studied cinematography. During my studies in Poland I got the opportunity to get involved with several different projects, such as a cross-media project, a wild life travel documentary project and many film projects (documentary and fiction) The cross-media project was called SkateBoat and fully initiated by my team members and I. We applied for a grant from EU and implemented the project with the grant we got. As a result we have a 30 min documentary film about the history of skateboarding in Poland which became the first one within its media area. It was a big project with lots of partners and collaborators. In between my studies I took two years off two be able to shoot the wild-life & travel project called YABANCI. It was shot in Kenya and Rwanda mainly and it tells a story of a wild life photographer travelling in the national reserves of these two countries. It was planned to be shot more, however I only took part in the first season and did the 13 episodes as a cinematographer. Currently, I am working on my short movie. I live in Berlin for three years now.

Be it an emotional podcast episode about daily life under war in Yemen's Sanaa, a feature article on mental health in South Sudan, a photo series about the strength of Africa's women or a video shoot for a social video - for all these things, I'm at your service. Throughout my journalistic career I've truly honed my skills as a multimedia producer. Over the last 2.5 years, I had the opportunity to help launch the Al Jazeera English social video unit, became the editorial lead of that unit and then moved on to my longtime love for audio when I produced and reported episodes of the new Al Jazeera podcast The Take. Before that I worked for large European political institutions as an editor, analyzing and summarizing the German media landscape on very tight deadlines. I've led teams before and during my time at Al Jazeera. On top of that, I've been a photojournalist off and on for about 10 years and even taught video journalism at the American University in Cairo. In 2018, I was one of the lucky fellows of the International Women's Media Foundation, with whom I went to South Sudan to cover how women in particular are trying to improve their country's and community's dire conditions.

Berlin-based freelance photographer. Born in 1989 in a small town in Córdoba, Argentina, German left his native home right after graduating from his Interactive Design studies at age 21. While absorbing inspiration from his travels around the world within the next years, his lifelong passion for photography steadily developed into his career choice. Before graduating from the Photography program at the University of Europe for Applied Science in 2020, he established himself professionally through contributions on several editions of Berlin's largest English-language "Exberliner Magazine" as well as through his work with the prestigious "Tanz im August" dance and theater festival. Adding to his experience, in 2018 he joined the team of "Holiday Pirates", one of Europe's best-known online travel companies, where he currently works as a Global Video Marketing Manager. With his artistic focus on the authenticity of his subjects, German flexibly switches between the role of an objective observer, documenting reality, and that of a more creative one, directing the subject according to the need of the client or situation. i am a writer and a drifter dedicating myself to topics on the margins of society. fuelled by my desire to be everywhere at once, i studied geography and cultural anthropology and lived in coro (venezuela), gießen (germany), heidelberg (germany) and adelaide (australia). i settled down in leipzig (germany) in 2007 and studied journalism. the following year i was awarded the “research-prize” by the journalistic magazine “message”. in 2010 i lived in adelaide where i volunteered at radio adelaide. just after christmas i started heading back towards europe but decided that winter doesn’t agree with me. as avoidance strategy i explored the islands in the south pacific with my son. i blogged about it and i turned the stories into a book (“mama, sind wir bald da?”). since october 2011 i am back in leipzig. i write for süddeutsche zeitung, frankfurter allgemeine zeitung, zeit, lufthansa magazin, and plenty of others, mostly about travel, society, women and zeitgeist issues.

Ana Catalá is a multifaceted Spanish filmmaker, producer, and photographer. After finishing her Film and Photography studies she moved to Berlin where she works as a freelancer in international film productions and photography documentary projects. Her film credits include The Ghost Writer by Roman Polanski, and Hanna by Joe Wright. She followed these projects with work in art house film and documentary productions, such as Sunshine Superman. In October 2014, she curated the photographic project The European Dream - Selfies from Oranienplatz, which was featured in the annual European Month of Photography in Berlin. In between her freelance work she is currently studying a Master In Visual Anthropology at the Freie Universität and a Photography Class at the Ostkreuzschule School for Documentary Photography.

Julie is a filmmaker from Luxembourg living and working in Berlin. She graduated in contemporary history and film studies in Brussels in 2007 and has been collecting images at home and around the world since. Julie’s documentaries explore geopolitical themes and social issues. She followed the fascinating world of Luxembourgish and Western European agriculture, which culminated in the documentary 'The Farmer's Blues' (2011). In ‘The dark side of the World cup in Brazil’ (2014), Julie explores the social and financial side-effects of the world cup in Brazil. Julie likes to explore different forms of expression and visual languages for the subject matter she explores. Her interactive multimedia installation ‘Euphobia’ puts the spectator into the position of an immigrant trying to enter a new country.
