Marlaina Schiavo is a Producer, Writer, and Humorist whose 25-year career has run the gamut of news and entertainment. Her career began at CNN, which became her professional home collectively 10 years, with 2-yr stints at Fox News and Court TV wedged in the middle.  At CNN/HLN, Marlaina spent several years working under the deadline of a daily live show as well as in front of the camera, delivering live on-air reporting for breaking news stories. I am an award-winning Belarusian-American journalist, filmmaker and cinematographer exploring the topics of environmental justice, climate displacement and human rights. Currently, I am a producer and reporter on an audio documentary about the first federally funded climate change-driven community resettlement in the US. Mauricio Gonzalez-Aranda is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. In 2022, he created the Bar Talk Series, an online series with over 75k followers (@bartalkseries) that features everyday conversations between New Yorkers at different bars.
