Dave Timko is an award-winning documentary filmmaker with over three decades of visual storytelling experience. In his combined roles as director, shooter and editor, Timko co-created over 40 documentaries for CNN, specializing in first-person narratives of the most relevant stories of our time. He has been recognized for his work with 5 National Emmy Awards, a Peabody and speciality awards for environmental and global health reporting. Thomas Rowell is a photographer and multidisciplinary storyteller, National Geographic Explorer, member of the Explorer’s Club in New York City, Emerging League Member of the International League of Conservation Photographers and a connoisseur of fine chips and salsa. He studied theatre directing at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and soon after had residencies in dance and mask at the Waaw Centre in Sénégal and directing at the Kennedy Center for the performing arts. His first documentary project followed dedicated conservationists working to conserve the critically endangered Álala. He has filmed and photographed conservation efforts with the northern white rhino in Kenya and the US and worked with asian elephants, sloth bears and leopards in India alongside Wildlife SOS India. Most recently he was deploying custom built remote wildlife cameras in Misiones Agentina. Thomas feels most like himself near a stream in the forest somewhere in the mountains.

Born in New York and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. After 10 years of combat experience in the United States Army, I tried to find my fit back into society working in Corporate America. Diagnosed with a TBI and struggling with PTSD I realized that life was too short to not do what you love! I found myself buying a cheap camera to take photos of my new puppy and as it turned out, I was a pretty good photographer! Eventually upgrading to better equipment led me to bigger and better events and created a realization I could make a career out of this photography thing. While studying at Liberty University I capitalized on some incredible opportunities and I have not let off the gas since! From shooting for friends and local businesses to being a team photographer for Minor League Baseball and a contributing photographer for ICON Sportswire, I am always looking for a new and exciting event to capture! In only 1 year of shooting professionally I have covered and shot many events with names you may recognize; Charleston RiverDogs, Liberty University, MexTour, ACC Championship, The Army-Navy Game, The Myrtle Beach Bowl Game, GNCC Racing, The Charleston Invitational, SC Stingrays, Carolina Country Music Festival, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Cup, NASCAR and more! Justin Cook is based in Durham, North Carolina but works everywhere. His long-term photographic essays tell stories about resiliency in communities living along the edges in America, often by focusing on environmental issues and climate change. He believes storytelling that not only shines light on these issues, but also investigates solutions is crucial to social change. Justin is a 2006 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication. He is a multiple Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting grantee, and his work has been funded by The Solutions Journalism Network Climate Solutions Fellowship, The North Carolina Arts Council, The Puffin Foundation; and honored by The Magenta Foundation, Photolucida, POYi, The Society of Environmental Journalists, The Society of Professional Journalists, and American Photography. When he is not making photographs, you can find him hunting for fossilized shark teeth in eastern North Carolina.

Travis Bell has been creating images professionally for over 20 years. He is an accomplished wedding, sports, editorial and production stills photographer. Bell worked at his hometown newspaper, The Lancaster(SC) News, The Rock Hill(SC) Herald and at The State Media Co. While at The News, The Herald and The State, he received more than 50 photography awards through the S.C. News Photographers Association and the S.C. Press Association. He served as a staff photographer at the South Carolina statehouse for two years before launching his own business in 2001. Assignments have included photographing the NCAA Final Four, NFL and NBA playoffs and the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. Roxanne R Campbell is a visual artist, native of Kingston, Jamaica, raised in Brooklyn, New York. Campbell as a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University and a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, concentration cinematography, from the University of Virginia. Her documentary work is often observational and explores the representation of African and Afro-Caribbean culture and identity, by counter-framing accepted narratives of the African Diaspora in the Americas. Her project Color Bar, is an interview-driven documentary project that examines concepts of race and masculinity in relation to Black identity - in particular, labels and stereotypes associated with skin tone.

After receiving a BFA in Photography from East Carolina University, Leslie moved to New York to work with Magnum photographer Steve McCurry. She then made her way to Durham, NC to study filmmaking at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke. She has produced, directed, filmed, and edited several independent projects, including the short documentary Las Mujeres de San Juan (The Women of San Juan). Leslie is interested in documenting the ever-changing people and culture in small Southern communities. Her work often explores themes of social inequality and female empowerment.
