Born and raised on Oahu, Hawaii, Cody Horne is proud to call the little island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean home. Since childhood, Cody has always been fascinated by the prospect of 'creating videos'. From watching her mom make slideshows on their family desktop to consuming countless hours of movies, cartoons and video games, Cody found herself longing to put her own creativity into the world just like what she was observing. She would make stop motion videos of figurines or film mini scenes of her family on her mother's Sony Handycam. Her attraction to film would continue well into high school as she would vlog her friends and make her baby niece act in skits she wrote. When college approached, she enrolled in a Television Production program. From there she would gain opportunities she thought were unreachable and she ended up sparking a romance with her now husband who attended the same program. Since then she has gone on to become a camera operator and editor for multiple television shows and work on several award winning short films. With experience under her belt and the drive to learn more, Cody aims to tell the untold stories of Hawaii and give a platform to people much like herself. She wants to capture human emotion in its many forms and colors and create films that people can find a bit of themselves in.
