GEORGE SLOAN is a writer and director. Between 2010 and 2013, George was a writer for the CBS sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" where he wrote three well-received episodes. In 2014, he returned to his directing roots, first working with the band Soft Swells on the official music video for their single "Floodlights," then directing two comedy spots, the first for the financial management company Wealthfront, the second for the Doritos "Crash the Super Bowl" campaign. George's Doritos spot "Push!" was honored by being featured in the brand's 10th anniversary highlight reel. George then turned his attention to short-form documentaries, directing an inspiring five-minute film called "Bringing Back the Light" for the Ronald McDonald House which premiered at their annual fundraising gala. Based on the strength of that film, George was hired by RCA Records to create a series of verité and behind-the-scenes videos for various artists including Tinashe, Frankie, and Grace. Lately, George has been happily bouncing between the commercial, music video and documentary world, directing a commercial for Wendy's and BuzzFeed, as well as music videos for Betty Who and Frankie.

To help bring awareness to issues, we believe it begins with trust. This begins with our relationship with our subjects. As a team, we are creative storytellers, but we also strive to understand the essence of the story. Everyone on the team needs to be knowledgeable to the subject and able to adapt to situations that occur during documentary work. If we want to create something that can have an impact, our subjects need to have trust in us. They also need to be informed on exactly what and why we are asking them to share their stories. Our expertise is being able to capture the essence of a person. To get these storytellers to share themselves. To share their highs and lows in the utmost detail. To then be able to share that to communities where emotion is at the forefront. Imagery doesn’t need words to tell a story, images should be able to speak for themselves. An image should strike people at their hearts, and then their brains. A story of any magnitude should incite meaningful conversations and have people question their own lives and values. This is what we always aim to do with our projects.

I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't have a camera. I've been doing creative storytelling through the medium of video and photo all my life. From shooting, editing and burning DVD's for my sister's dance recital at age 12 to filming events put on by billionaires, and crafting my own web-series and films in between. I have acquired a diverse set of skills. I've worked on professional film sets and student productions for UCLA and USC film school graduate programs. I've attended private labs for storytellers and edited content that created +7figures of profit for the client. Being true to myself as a behind the scenes person is how I prefer to be, as invisible as possible. However, I enjoy the spotlight too; catch my fun youtube channel to see what I find entertaining. I'd truly love an opportunity to be a part of your project. Anything or everything I do, I do it amazing.
