Based out of Omaha since 2014 I am a contractor who primarily works with a core group of local studios. I'm currently equipped with a Sony FX3 setup (with access to a FX6) that includes professional audio, lighting, and live streaming gear. In addition I enjoy flying my DJI Mavic 3 and maintain an up to date FAA license. Essentially I'm a self contained mobile production studio. My experience is rooted in working with local studios primarily as a DP and editor for corporate and nonprofit clients and an assortment of my own independently run projects. It’s taken me on adventures around the state, throughout the country and abroad. If you are looking for a professional video editor, you have come to right place! But first, a little about my experience and qualifications: My interest in video production really began in college. I discovered early on that a little creativity combined with the right software is key to success in a technology driven world. This understanding enabled me to learn as much as I could about Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Audition, and Dreamweaver. After four long years, I received my degree in multimedia with a minor in media production the at the University of Nebraska in Kearney in 2018. While I learned a lot during my time in college, most of my video editing experience came from working at KLKN-TV Channel 8 Eyewitness News, an ABC affiliate. Over the past year and a half, I edited more than one thousand shows. Not only did I learn rather quickly the importance of deadlines, I also discovered that finding the perfect balance between working independently and with a team was imperative to the success of the news station. Our team had to make sure that we were creating engaging content every day to keep our viewers interested. I chose to leave the news industry in order to fully open myself to other opportunities that required a little more creative freedom on my end. I believe my skills are easily transferable and my desire to work on projects that require a little more post-production work is unmatched. Growing up on a farm/ranch instilled a strong work ethic.
