Tessa Wedberg tells stories as a writer and filmmaker. A Nebraska native, Tessa came back to her home state to PA on her first feature film in 2001. She script supervised films including Hide Away, Lovely, Still and Lucky. She assistant directed Jessica Oreck's short The Collector and worked in production on Alexander Payne's films Nebraska and Downsizing. She has produced/directed music videos for bands including The Faint, Icky Blossoms, The Mynabirds and Azure Ray and freelances in commercial and film production. She has produced, directed and / or written projects for Film Streams, Inclusive Communities, Omaha Girls Rock, Autism Action Partnership, Omaha Community Foundation, Nebraska Ataxia and more. After volunteering at Refugee Empowerment Center, Tessa started the New American Voice Alliance (NAVA) with a group of artists to build community through collaborative art (words, photography, film and music). Many projects are in development through NAVA including the I Am From poetry + portrait project, the Umoja Choir recording their first record (and a short documentary around that project), a mural / storytelling project at Yates Community Center etc. Tessa is writing and developing narrative and documentary projects. She wrote a script called In Fountain Creek that she will produce with a close team of collaborators in Nebraska early next year. She is also beginning a project based on the film reels, photos, diaries, letters, articles and artifacts of the life of her Great Uncle Raymond Fritz called "Our Amplified Hearts."

Based out of Omaha since 2014 I am a contractor who primarily works with a core group of local studios. I'm currently equipped with a Sony FX3 setup (with access to a FX6) that includes professional audio, lighting, and live streaming gear. In addition I enjoy flying my DJI Mavic 3 and maintain an up to date FAA license. Essentially I'm a self contained mobile production studio. My experience is rooted in working with local studios primarily as a DP and editor for corporate and nonprofit clients and an assortment of my own independently run projects. It’s taken me on adventures around the state, throughout the country and abroad. At any given time you can find me running multi-cam setups for a live concert, flying around agriculture equipment, running an event's livestream, engineering a podcast, or conducting an interview. If you are looking for a professional video editor, you have come to right place! But first, a little about my experience and qualifications: My interest in video production really began in college. I discovered early on that a little creativity combined with the right software is key to success in a technology driven world. This understanding enabled me to learn as much as I could about Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Audition, and Dreamweaver. After four long years, I received my degree in multimedia with a minor in media production the at the University of Nebraska in Kearney in 2018. While I learned a lot during my time in college, most of my video editing experience came from working at KLKN-TV Channel 8 Eyewitness News, an ABC affiliate. Over the past year and a half, I edited more than one thousand shows. Not only did I learn rather quickly the importance of deadlines, I also discovered that finding the perfect balance between working independently and with a team was imperative to the success of the news station. Our team had to make sure that we were creating engaging content every day to keep our viewers interested. I chose to leave the news industry in order to fully open myself to other opportunities that required a little more creative freedom on my end. I believe my skills are easily transferable and my desire to work on projects that require a little more post-production work is unmatched. Growing up on a farm/ranch instilled a strong work ethic. I graduated from Washburn University in 2017 with a bachelor's degree in mass media with an emphasis in contemporary journalism and a minor in history. While at Washburn, I served in various capacities for the Washburn Review, including as a writer and managing editor where I led the team to produce our weekly printed edition, ensuring deadlines were met and quality was maintained. Around the same time, I started writing for SpaceFlight Insider and eventually served as its managing editor where I helped grow the website's traffic from under 120K to roughly 300K monthly viewers. Dominique Lasseur is an award-winning producer of film and television, and the Co-Founder of Civic Life Project, an educational program that uses documentary filmmaking to engage college and high school students in our democracy. Since its inception in 2009 the Civic Life Project has produced more than sixty students’ films. In his many years in cultural programming, Lasseur has overseen numerous productions both in the United States and abroad. He most recently was Executive Producer of John Muir in the New World for PBS’s American Masters series. He produced a number of Fred Friendly Seminars including Ethics in America, featuring notable participants, including Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Sandra Day O'Connor.
