Prof. Dr. Tarık Oğuzlu is currently a faculty member of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Istanbul Aydin University and an advisor to the Rector. He served as the Chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations and Director of the Center for Social, Economic and Political Research (SEPAM) at Antalya Bilim University between 2012 and 2020. He was a faculty member of the Department of International Relations at Bilkent University between 2004 and 2011. He got his Ph.D. degree in Intenational Relations at Bilkent University in 2003. I graduated as an civil engineer from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. I have worked in Turkey as team manager for Eczacıbaşı and Fenerbahçe basketball clubs, I have done NCAA, NBA, and ACB League games, as well as hosting various basketball programs for TRT the goverment channel, worked at various TV channels as a play by play and commentator for numerous telecast including World Championship, European Championship, Euroleague, Eurocup, Koraç, Saporta, Cup winners Cup etc. I have also worked as program host and producer, written many articles and done interviews for newspapers, and magazines as a basketball expert. I was a part of the Organization Committee for 2001 FIBA European Championship and the 2010 FIBA Worldcup. I was also founder,president and sometime coach of a local club Baskent 34, which won a Turkish Championship at the Junior League level defeating Anadolu Efes in the Finals. In the 6 years of its existance it produced 9 professional players who played at Divison I or Division II level in Turkey. The club is also proud that Furkan Korkmaz of the Philadelphia 76'ers and Ömercan Ilyasoğlu of Anadolu Efes (Two extremely talented and fine basketball players) got their start with Baskent 34.

Reyan Tuvi is a journalist based in İstanbul, Turkey. Born in the Aegean city of Izmir, in 1967, Reyan Tuvi has studied English Language and Literature at Bosphorus University and received a scholarship for her master’s degree in Documentary Production at the Northern Media School in the UK. Returning back to Turkey, she has worked for various newspapers/ magazines (e.g. National Geographic, Turkey) as a reporter/ editor and traveled all around Anatolia, the Turkish heartland for ‘’Hürriyet Seyahat’’, the travel supplement of the best selling Turkish newspaper, Hürriyet. Since 1995, Tuvi has working as a producer- researcher for foreign media outlets (radio, tv, magazine) such as BBC, Finnish TV YLE, Danish TV2, Voice of America Paris Match and also worked as a script writer/ researcher in various documentaries filmed in Turkey and abroad (Africa, Central Asia, Australia) on travel and different cultures of the world. She also acted as an advisor for TRT (Turkish State Television) for their travel documentary series. Her interest in the social issues on her own country and the world led her in the way of becoming an independent documentary maker. Her documentaries still continue to be screened at many film festivals in Turkey and around the world. Reyan Tuvi has three guide books on Turkey and a book on the Roman people of Istanbul whose neighbourhood is destroyed by gentrification. She is still writing feature stories for newspapers and web journals such as T24 on human rights issues, discrimination and culture and is continuing shooting documentaries. Since 1989, Tuvi is a proffessional tourist guide and has a certificate of specialization on Istanbul. She can speak and write in English (advanced), French (intermediate) and Kurdish (beginner).

Dr. Bayraklı earned his BA, MA and PhD from the Department of Political Science at the University of Vienna, and conducted research for his PhD thesis at the University of Nottingham in Britain between 2009 and 2010. He took office as a deputy director at Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Center in London in 2011-2013. Talip Kucukcan is a Senior Fellow at the TRT WORLD Research Center and Professor of Sociology at the Marmara University in Istanbul, Turkey. He was a Member of the Turkish Parliament between 2015 and 2018. Mr. Kucukcan was the Head of Turkish Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe and a Member of Foreign Relations Committee. He graduated from Uludag University (1986) and received an MA from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (1990). Kucukcan completed his PhD in Ethnic Relations at the University of Warwick (1997). He worked as a Research Fellow at the Centre for Research in Ethnic Relations at the University of Warwick between 1997 and 1999. Before moving to Marmara University where he became a full professor, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Islamic Studies in Istanbul until 2007. He served as a Senior Advisor to the President of Higher Education Council of Turkey between 2009 and 2013. He was among the founding team of Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research (SETA) where he was first Coordinator of Social and Economic Research, then the Director of Foreign Policy Research. He served as the Editor in Chief of Insight Turkey, a policy journal published by SETA until 2015. Kucukcan was the Director of Middle East Research Institute at the Marmara University between 2011-2014. He is appointed as the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on Combating Intolerance and Discrimination against Muslims for 2014 and 2015. Kucukcan is specialized in foreign relations with a focus on Middle Eastern affairs, Turkey-EU relations, transnational migration, international freedom of religion, security and Muslim minorities in Europe.
