My company, Harken Productions, has been around since 1997 producing social issue oriented videos and running a youth media program since 2002. My first film Death: A Love Story premiered in documentary competition at Sundance in 1999, won several festivals, played national PBS, and is now available in over 400 colleges and universities here and in Canada. I now produce shorts, video for business websites, civically engaged media with youth, and for all who want to engage in critical and civic engagement. I am a videographer who recently relocated from Kentucky to New York City. I'm passionate about documentary-style work and music, and much of my work reflects that. Many of my clients have been musicians from burgeoning Eastern Kentucky music scene, including Grammy-nominated Country singer, Tyler Childers. I have co-created two documentary shorts. I've been working in New York City in Documentary TV and Film for the last 3 years in Production and Post-Production. I worked on projects like Bobby Kennedy for President and Conversations with a Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes, but in a more logistics oriented role helping to produce shoots and deliver series. I decided to get back into the creative side of filmmaking by shooting and editing more, so I moved to Arizona to shoot my first documentary and picked up a few clients along the way. My name is Laura Lechner, and I'm a film director. Andrew Caringi is a freelance photographer and filmmaker. In the summer of 2015 he interned as a photographer and video reporter for Brooklyn Deep, a digital journalism platform that chronicles neighborhood change in Central Brooklyn. In December of 2015 he received his M.A. in Journalism from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, where he specialized in urban reporting and visual storytelling. His first film, Super Bronx Boys, debuted this December for an audience in Midtown, Manhattan. The short documentary film follows the lives of three indie game developers from the Hunts Point section of the Bronx. He currently resides in New York City.
