Hi! My name is Zeshawn. I'm a nonfiction filmmaker- with a background in directing, producing and editing. My feature length film, TWO GODS, was supported and funded by ITVS, Sundance Institute and Ford Foundation and was broadcast nationwide on Independent Lens on PBS. In addition, the film was screened in theaters across the US, named a critics pick by the New York Times and nominated for a Cinema Eye Spotlight Award. Katherine Filaseta is an emerging filmmaker originally from South Carolina. While at Washington University in St. Louis, Katherine acted in a few student films and researched tropes of globalization in Bollywood. After graduating with a degree in International Studies, Katherine limited her involvement in film to reviewing films on her feminist blog ("Complaining About Things I Like") and podcast ("Filmi Talks"), while studying Hindi in India and teaching children performing arts. Realizing that teaching was not her true passion, she decided to enroll in a short filmmaking course at the New York Film Academy. Katherine hopes to add to her current portfolio by showcasing her ability to use the overlap of fiction, music, and visuals to tell stories with a true purpose.

Levi Walton is a Brooklyn based multidisciplinary visual artist, native to the tropics of Panama. His work has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, Dazed Magazine, VSCO, Suspend Magazine and others. He dabbles between editorial, portrait, and documentary photography, with a soft spot for unusual, one of a kind subjects. Joshua Simon has a degree in sociology from Brandeis University, and has been working in film and television for the last 5 years, with experience in lighting, sound, shooting, directing, producing and post-production -- sometimes all at once! Joshua has made videos with non-profits and foundations, including Cancer Research Institute, NY Hall of Science, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as well as corporations including Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Dropbox. Sarah Ginsburg grew up in the magical Midwest town of Columbia, Missouri. She went on to study Film Production at Emerson College in Boston, which is where she lives and works as a filmmaker today. She edited for the award-winning interactive Hollow and shot and edited for Boston-based interactive Wander, Wonder, Wilderness. Sarah recently finished shooting and editing a feature documentary titled Best and Most Beautiful Things. She wandered into the audio world and started a podcast with Elaine Sheldon that features women working in media. The podcast is called She Does and is now part of Panoply, Slate's podcasting network. Mahala is a director and producer with Courageous Studios, the brand studio for CNN. Previously she was a video journalist working at the Denver Post from 2010-2015. In that time she had the opportunity to grow with the newspaper’s developing video department, from working on daily video and breaking news to producing both short and feature length documentaries exploring themes and issues integral to the Denver and Colorado community. Her work has been recognized by Picture of the Year International, the Heartland Chapter Emmy Awards, and the National Edward R. Murrow Awards. In 2013, she was a member of the Denver Post staff awarded a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news coverage of the Aurora Theater shooting.

I've been a freelance videographer/editor and multimedia journalist for six years. My videos have appeared in The New York Times/Local and The Guardian and my audio pieces have aired on WBAI in New York and WBEZ in Chicago. The first short documentary I produced, directed and edited, The Invisibles, was at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner. Ultimately I want to give viewers a look into worlds they're not familiar with while giving a voice to people who have not traditionally had access to media outlets. Mauricio Gonzalez-Aranda is a documentary filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. In 2022, he created the Bar Talk Series, an online series with over 75k followers (@bartalkseries) that features everyday conversations between New Yorkers at different bars. His directorial debut, A Word for Human (2019), premiered at CPH:DOX and screened at the U.S. National Gallery of Arts.
