Gabriella Nova (f.k.a. Parsons) is a Midwest-born-and-raised 90s kid, visual storyteller and freelance documentary filmmaker based in Austin, Texas. She is currently a seasonal producer for SXSW Film Festival. Gabriella’s work centers on community empowerment, social justice, identity and belonging. Whether producing a short doc or assisting clients with long-term communications plans, Gabriella loves working with teams to bring stories from ideation to completion. Formerly, she worked as an Emerging Media Producer for Nebraska Public Media, Nebraska’s PBS and NPR.
