Ahmad Waleed is a Lahore-based broadcast journalist having vast experience in print and electronic media. He is working with 24 News as Controller News looking after the news pouring in from different parts of the Punjab province besides analyzing political and social issues on TV as an expert. Anam Abbas grew up in Pakistan and studied Cinema at the University of Toronto and Documentary Production at Sheridan College, Canada. She is a documentary Director, Cinematographer and Photographer, And has worked In Canada and across Pakistan. She is deeply interested in creating platforms for women's voices and exploring life at the peripheries in Pakistan. Her Documentary short "Lucky Irani Circus" about the children who work in Pakistan's longest running circus group screened at Delhi International Film Festival , Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival and Seattle South Asian Film festival in 2015. The short documentary "Reclaiming Pakistan", on which Anam was a cinematographer also toured festivals across the USA and won the SIMA 2016 Jury Prize for IMPACT in the IMPACT VIDEO Category. Another short documentary, "The Streets are ours: Two Lives cross in Karachi" won the Audience choice award for best documentary short, Nashville Film Festival, 2017 Anam worked as Production Manager on a major action feature film in Pakistan titled "Revenge of the Worthless" in 2014. She was the Festival Director for the FACE Film Festival in Islamabad for 2016. She was the associate festival director for the I AM Karachi Film Festival 2017 with Mateela Films. She is Producer and Director of feminist webseries based in Pakistan called "Ladies Only". Her band "Garam Anday"'s first single has been nominated as the top 20 songs of 2018 by Tribune Edit. "Showgirls of Pakistan", winner of the Corus -HotDocs Best Canadian Pitch Award at the 2016 Hotdocs Forum, and winner of the Chicago Media project's pitching event in Nov 2017, is scheduled to release in 2020, and will be her first feature documentary as Producer and Cinematographer. Anam participated in Locarno Film Festival's Open Doors Hub with a fiction feature project in Aug 2017. She was also selected to participate in the 2018 Berlinale Talents program. Jawad Sharif is an award-winning filmmaker and National Geographic Explorer, who has come into prominence for exploring the often-ignored social subjects. His work focuses on the interface between the dominant culture and the real impact on people, society and the environment. Jawad is a Ted Fellow and an alumnus of the the UCLA, Swedish Institute and Institut Fur Auslandsbeziehunge, Germany. He is the Festival Director of Asia Peace Film Festival and jury member of the Jaipur Library Academy Awards. Jawad is also a founding member of Climate Kahani & Cinema For Change.    He has worked on a number of socially and culturally sensitive film projects involving the themes of human rights and social injustice besides arts and culture. His feature films include Indus Blues, The Losing Side, K-2 and the Invisible Footmen, The Color of Smog, Natari, and Beyond the Heights. His recent film “The Losing Side” has won the best “Human Rights Award” at the Cannes World Film festival. “Indus Blues” has won the Grand Jury Prize at GIFF and has been nominated in several other international film festivals including CPH-DOX, Copenhagen. His films have been screened in over a hundred festivals worldwide and won awards. His first feature film, “Indus Blues” is about the fading folk instruments from various indigenous cultures in Pakistan, which has won the Grand Jury Prize at Guam International Film Festival and has been nominated in several other prestigious international film festivals. The film created waves in both local and international media including BBC, DW, and VOA upon the release of its trailer and initiated the much needed debate about the radicalization of the society in Pakistan. He has also won several awards as the cinematographer and editor of “K2 & the Invisible Footmen,” which has screened in film festivals around the world.
