For the last two years I’ve been an integral part of RNZ (New Zealand’s public broadcaster) where I was a key member in the launch of NZ's first radio simulcast, responsible for the visual studio production, field logistics, live streaming, staff training and building its video presence. They call me Esso, but my real name Josh. I’m a director + photographer living in Philadelphia. Inspired by street culture and the city, I bring that energy to every project I work on. I’m interested in telling emotional, subversive stories that spark empathy and compassion. Primarily a filmmaker, directing commercials, music videos and narrative projects. In addition, I spend my time helping musicians as a creative director + photographer, helping them tell their story through visuals. When possible, I’m using film as my medium of choice. I like to embrace the characteristics of the medium, which has imperfections and a chemical element that’s hard to control. The Japanese call this Wabi-Sabi and I try to lean into these beautiful imperfections in all my work. There’s an excitement to be found in the beautiful accidents that are unexpected.

I'm a shooter, producer, editor and journalist focused on Documentary and branded content. I'm a producer/ editor/ writer who specializes in news/ documentary. I've produced/ written/ edited human rights and environmental short films for the United Nations, and have worked for and with such companies as ABC News, PBS NewsHour, and WNET. I'm currently completing a project about Brazil during the pandemic for PBS NewsHour, for whom I've worked in the past, overseeing a series on local solutions to climate change. I also recently helped produce a project on native/ indigenous issues in Australia and Hawaii; edited a series on theatre and the coronavirus; and have written over a dozen articles for The New York Times. Mariano is an Emmy nominated documentary director, producer and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY. Born and raised in Lima, Peru, he came to New York City, 13 years ago. Until recently, and for the past five years, he worked as an in house filmmaker at CNN’s documentary unit “Great Big Story” where he made some of the most cinematic (and highest viewed) videos on the internet. Before CNN, Mariano worked at VICE Media for 5 years, creating original content about food, music, news, travel, and culture. He’s a proud alumni and film major of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where he has since returned as a guest lecturer on documentary film. Jacob Fisk is a shooter and producer with over a decade of experience in non-fiction video production. Though he is based in Washington, DC, his work has taken him all over the world, from Belize to Bahrain. He specializes in non-fiction and documentary productions, both long and short-form, and also works in branded content and corporate and marketing video. Jacob is fascinated by the ocean. He's spent months of his time onboard vessels, including an active USN aircraft carrier, a research vessel, crabbing boats in the Bering Sea, and shark tagging boats. He's scuba certified and thinks all time spent on or in the water is time well spent. Jacob also has a great love for the outdoors and backpacking.
