Josh Chitwood was born in Indiana in 1994 and was raised in a small southern Illinois town. As a transplant family from Indianapolis, and with Syrian-Lebanese roots, his family did not fit the mold of this rural town. Filmmaking and the creative process became his outlet at an early age. Throughout high school, Josh began developing his craft by making skate films, short documentaries and videos for his parent's church. In 2012, Josh moved from Illinois to Minnesota where he met his wife, Morgan. In 2014, Josh and Morgan started a film company called Chitwood Media. The heart of their work is to create films that cultivate inspiration, expand perspective, empower community and affirm hope. Their films reflect the unique creativity ingrained in each individual that goes beyond mimicking the popular. The themes of their storytelling and cinematography challenge misconception, reveal beauty, and reflect their personal faith. In October of 2021, the two relocated their business from Minneapolis to Indianapolis. In his free time, Josh enjoys spending time in his home and community with Morgan and their three sons, Marquelle, Reggie and Tony.

I have loved every kind of media since I was young. Movies, TV Shows, Video Games, Music, I ate it all up like a hungry man at an all-you-can-eat buffet. I am fascinated with the way stories can evoke reactions from people. Everything from laughter, to sadness, to fear, to anger, can be brought out by something that someone is watching and all I want to do is create things that bring these emotions to the surface. I pride myself on having a unique sense of style and flavor that will make people say "Wow, never seen that before". I strive every day to create my own voice to separate my works from the rest of the crowd and am always looking for feedback from superiors and co-workers alike so that I can make my works the best they can be. I am big on taking criticism as I believe the only way to get better is to be told what is and what isn't working. I have a lot of experience editing video and sound for various projects and have written many scripts that have received much praise. I have also written for independent films that are currently in production and have gotten great feedback from those who hired me. I always put just as much passion in to the projects I am hired to write as I do with something I come up with myself. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Elaine McMillion Sheldon is an Academy Award-nominated, and Emmy and Peabody-winning documentary filmmaker based in Appalachia. She is a 2020 Guggenheim Fellow. Sheldon is the director of two Netflix Original Documentaries - "Heroin(e)" and "Recovery Boys" - that explore America's opioid crisis. "Heroin(e)" was nominated for a 2018 Academy Award and won the 2018 Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Documentary. In May 2020, she released "Tutwiler," a rare and intimate look at motherhood inside one of America's most notorious prisons. "Tutwiler,” a collaboration with The Marshall Project and PBS Frontline, raises questions about how our nation is handling the growing crisis of incarcerated pregnant women, and what happens to their newborns. Her 2019 film "Coal's Deadly Dust" - a PBS Frontline and NPR collaboration - investigates the rise of severe black lung disease among coal miners, and the failure to respond. Ralph B. Davis is an Appalachian journalist with 25 years' experience. He is currently news director for EKB-TV in Pikeville, Ky. He also has experience as a newspaper editor and independent web journalist, covering economic, social, artistic and quality of life issues affecting Appalachia. In 2013, he completed his first feature-length documentary, "Appalachia 2050." Davis accomplishments include numerous awards from the Kentucky Press Association for news, feature, editorial and column writing, as well as newspaper and website design. In 2013, Davis was one of 16 journalists selected for National Press Association fellowships to attend the Obesity Issues Program in Denver, Colo.
