Matteo was born in Trento, Italy and grew up in Conegliano, a little town outside Venice. From a very young age, he has been fascinated by the world of movies and journalism. He started pursuing his passion for print journalism by writing film reviews for several websites in Italy. Graduating with a degree in Communication Sciences from the University of “Roma Tre”, his final thesis focused on the history of American sitcoms and their relationship with the ancient Greek theater. In 2011, he moved to New York City to work at the subsidiary of the RAI (Italian National Television) and soon after decided it was time to pursue a film career. Matteo was accepted into an intensive documentary film program at the New York Film Academy, from where he graduated in 2012. Hi. I am an Emmy Award-winning writer/producer/director with over fifteen years' experience. I was a senior producer at ABC News, where I oversaw the network's slate of original digital video programming, where I was responsible for the content and creative direction of these series, as well as the development of new series. I also spent eleven years with Comedy Central, heading up the network's award-winning digital video initiatives and overseeing a team of writers, producers and editors. I am a Freelance Creative Director based in the New York area. I started my career in 2008 with a main focus in producing music videos and have had the chance to work with many different artists on every level. Winner of a Student Academy Award and six Emmys, I am a Spanish director, producer, and director of photography based in New York. As a TV producer, I received six Emmy® Awards for my work at the cultural magazine Nueva York (CUNY TV), about Latinos in New York. I am also the co-producer and director of the video content of the transmedia documentary project “Sonic Trace”, produced by Anayansi Diaz-Cortes with support of ITVS, NEA, Cal Humanities, KCRW, AIR, and PBS. Michael Premo is an artist, journalist and documentary storyteller. He has created, produced and presented original works of art and media with numerous companies including the Peabody Award winning StoryCorps. He’s a co-creator and Executive Producer of Sandy Storyline (www.sandystoryline.com), a participatory documentary that collects and shares stories about the impact of Hurricane Sandy on our neighborhoods, our communities and our lives. The project won the inaugural Transmedia Award from the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. With Andrew Stern he shot and is producing/directing a photo exhibit and film called Water Warriors, documenting a Canadian First Nation's struggle to protect their water. I was born in the industrial city Chelyabinsk, Siberian part of Russia. My hometown made the headlines in 2013 as a city, where the Meteor fall down. I have a Bachelor degree in Journalism from Russia and a Master's degree in Journalism from City University of New York. I like telling hidden, character-driven stories with a video camera. I have a passion for people and a dedication to excellence. I've been doing journalism since I was 10 years old and there's not enough I could learn about the art of telling stories. After graduating from the University of Alabama with a degree in telecommunication and film with a focus on sports broadcasting, I decided to share my passion with future generations as a 2013 Teach For America corps member where I taught 7th grade for two years.
