Born in Durango Mexico, my interests in arts and photography began at a very early age at home. I studied photography and cinematography at University of Guadalajara. My career near cinema began as camera assistant and focus puller in several feature films and publicity. In 2009 I arrived to Mexico City, where until now I have dedicated my professional career to the study of the moving image, with extensive knowledge in analog and digital film technics. Desde muy pequeño tuve mis primeros acercamientos al cine y al medio audiovisual; es a lo que me dedico y lo que siempre quise hacer; no tanto por la herramienta en sí, sino por el poder que tiene para transmitir mensajes, contar historias, mostrar tu discurso personal... Siempre he preferido la narrativa de ficción sobre la documental; pero por azares del destino terminé encontrando en la expresión documental una forma muy útil de narrar algo que sabía que tenía que compartir. I am a documentary tv producer as well as a cinematographer. I've directed documentary series on tourism, city anthropology and mayan archeology, in them i've been able to handle most aspects of production including photography, editing, money-handling, and even driving! I've also worked as a cinematographer (my film school specialty) on commercials, movies and documentaries. I am a student at Harvard College currently taking some time off to do freelance work and build my experience as a "cineasta." I move between Boston and Los Angeles, but am in Mexico for the summer. I have covered the Mexican presidential elections in Los Angeles, I made a short drama on the Boston Bombing, and I have recently completed a documentary on undocumented students at Harvard. ** Cosmovitral, Garden botanic Toluca de Lerdo, Estado de México Mèxico The Cosmovitral is a stained glass mural and botanical garden located in Toluca, Mexico. The building takes its name from the mural which is set in the buildings huge windows that surround the building and in the ceiling. The building originally was construction in 1910 as the 16 de Septiembre Market, but when this was closed in 1975, Leopoldo Flores successfully convinced the city government to convert the building into a space for art.
