Gastón Martínez is a Uruguayan communicator and filmmaker. He works as a director at Ikusi, where he recently co-directed and edited "Raíces en la arena" (2023), a short film that won the "Women in productive activity" (Miem-Dinatel) call. He directed, filmed and edited the documentary series "Golazo" (2022). He worked as a director for a dozen local production companies and for AFP Services (2019-2020). As a television director, Martínez worked on "Premio Destacados" (2016-2019). He co-directed "Pilsen rock, the movie" (2018) a medium-documentary with more than 80,000 views on YouTube.

Audio visual maker, with long experience as a cinematographer and colorist. I also worked as an editor, as a news producer and directed TV call shows. I graduated in Social Communication as Journalist (at PUCRS, in Brazil) and studied cinema at Panico Studios (in London). I captured images and did live transmissions for some very important TV channels, like TV Globo, Multishow, Fifa TV, CGTN (Rio de Janeiro); Televisión Española TVE, Canal La Sexta (Madrid) and TV Cultura (São Paulo). I also worked with film, in a feature and in a few short-films, did the images for successful campaigns and did jobs for many production companies, mainly in Brazil and in Spain.
