Documentaries are my passion. My feature-length films HIT and LA FLOR DE LA VIDA —a Sundance Institute grantee— premiered in festivals including IDFA, True/False, Docs Barcelona and BAFICI. Aside from film, I've worked as a journalist for several media outlets, including Television Nacional Uruguay and AFP. I contribute regularly with Univision as a film editor, where my credits include RISING UP IN THE HEARTLAND, nominated for a News & Documentary Emmy, winner of an Online Journalism Award, and First Place Winner - Documentary at Picture of the Year International. As a content producer, I have directed and edited dozens of pieces on development issues, climate change, migration and gender for multilateral organizations including UNICEF, UNESCO, the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank. I have an M.A. in Journalism and Latin American Studies from New York University, through a Fulbright Scholarship.

Santiago Barreiro is a National Geographic Explorer, photographer, and storyteller. His approach mainly focuses on the study of dance, humanitarian topics, gender, and minorities. As a result of his interest in dance, Barreiro, who is originally from Uruguay, has photographed ballerinas at Uruguay’s national ballet company, Ballet Nacional Sodre, as well as Cuba’s National Ballet School, one of the premier ballet institutes in the world. He has dedicated his work to investigating, studying, and photographing the world of dance in both a documentary and a conceptual way, collaborating constantly with various entities of the world of dance and on a personal level developing photographic research projects. In 2015, he published his book Pueblo Ballet (Ballet Village) which, through photographs, tries to bring dance closer to those who don’t have access to it. Gastón Martínez is a Uruguayan communicator and filmmaker. He works as a director at Ikusi, where he recently co-directed and edited "Raíces en la arena" (2023), a short film that won the "Women in productive activity" (Miem-Dinatel) call. He directed, filmed and edited the documentary series "Golazo" (2022). He worked as a director for a dozen local production companies and for AFP Services (2019-2020). As a television director, Martínez worked on "Premio Destacados" (2016-2019). He co-directed "Pilsen rock, the movie" (2018) a medium-documentary with more than 80,000 views on YouTube.

Agustina Willat graduated from the Uruguayan Film School (ECU) in 2010. Her short film "El vendedor de naranjas" won several awards in Uruguay. She works as a director in film and television projects with a social and community profile, and as an editor mainly in documentaries. "Hacé y mostrá, televisión comunitaria", a TV program in which she is a director, won the 2016 TAL Network award for the best educational content program. Her latest short film "firefly" is now in competition at festivals. She is finishing "Salam" her first feature film as a director.

Juan Maruri (1988) is an independent filmmaker and visual editor. He got a degree in Social Communications at the University of Montevideo (UM: 2008 – 2012) and also obtained a diploma in direction of photography in CLAEH University (2013). He is currently director of the audiovisual company HINT. Also he has worked for national film producers and also for prestigious national and international companies such as BID, UPM and UNICEF.
