My name is Chris Cuthbert chris-cuthbert.com and I am a Director of Photography and Local 600 Camera operator. I would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about myself and why I believe I would be a great fit for your team. I have used a lot of cinema cameras over the course of my career (Arri, Red, Sony, phantom, Canon, etc) and understand how to set and maintain them. I own my own Red Scarlet camera package and fully understand how the camera system works. I own a Tiffen Steadicam and DJI Ronin. This past summer, I attended the Tiffen Steadicam Gold Workshop and have been working on putting together a reel for my camera operatining/Steadicam reel. I also have a lot of experience flying drones, including for projects and also as a hobby. I have worked with only DJI Products for filming and own a DJI Mavic Pro which has a 4K camera. In regards to my educational background, I have a Master’s Degree in Cinematography from Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication with a minor in Visual Art and Photography from the University of San Diego. In addition to my education, my experience in the film industry has equipped me with the necessary skills to be an effective director of photography. I was mentored by Alice Brooks (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0515217/?ref_=nv_sr_1) and have been working with her for the past 7 years. I started out working as her assistant on set and for the last 4 years been camera operating for her. I have acquired a lot of on set experience over the years serving as a director of photography and camera operating for music videos, commercials, features and documentaries. That have taken me all over the US and internationally.
