Since 2008 I have been working on independent films, mostly documentaries, and freelancing on digital media projects. I have a MFA in dramatic writing from New York University and a BA in English from Yale University. In February 2015 my documentary "The Rivalry: Red V. Blue" about the college basketball rivalry between the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky premiered on ESPN Classic and Kentucky Educational Television. Currently, I am finishing post on two docs: "Last of the Showmen" about Broadway entertainer Ben Vereen and "Boston Loud" about the Boston hardcore band TREE. My first documentary "Toxic Soup" was an environmental expose, which screened in the Atlanta Film Festival, the New Jersey Film Festival and the Twin Cities Film Festival, among others. "Toxic Soup" was broadcast on Free Speech TV, Explora TV, Ushuaia TV and Press TV. These documentaries are reflective of the kinds of stories that I hunt for: environmental, sports and music / arts.

Samantha André is an independent director, cinematographer, and editor with a special focus on women’s rights and social issues around the world. She has directed, produced, or edited projects for VICE, TWITTER, APPLE TV, PBS, RAPHA and THE FRONT. Her work has led her to cover character driven stories such as the LGBT refugees in Europe, police brutalities for the ACLU, climate change in an indigenous Alaskan village, child marriage in Kenya, disability activism in the US, and women's health in professional sports. She is currently working on finishing her first feature documentary, Mary’s Way. Filmed over the course of five years, it is the portrait of one girl’s journey to help bring an end to female genital mutilation and child marriage in her Kenyan community. A short version of her film was screened in New York to raise awareness for FGM in partnership with the United Nations. When Samantha is not working on a documentary, she can be found hiking mountains, biking, or playing soccer. She prides herself in capturing human emotion and intimate moments in her films by creating a real connection with the amazing people in front of her lens.

I don't remember a time in my life when I didn't have a camera. I've been doing creative storytelling through the medium of video and photo all my life. From shooting, editing and burning DVD's for my sister's dance recital at age 12 to filming events put on by billionaires, and crafting my own web-series and films in between. I have acquired a diverse set of skills. I've worked on professional film sets and student productions for UCLA and USC film school graduate programs. Luisa Conlon is a documentary director and cinematographer based in New York and Los Angeles. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Atlantic, NBC, VICE, PBS NewsHour, Vogue, NPR & StoryCorps. She most recently directed the New York Times Op-Docs We Became Fragments about a young Syrian refugee coming of age in Canada. The film was released with an accompanying Op-Ed from former UN Ambassador Samantha Power and was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick. Luisa’s work has been supported by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and The Filmmaker Fund. She is a recipient of the Jerry Jensen Overall Graduate Scholarship Award from the Emmy Foundation, the 2016 Robert Whittington Award for Exceptional Reporting from UC Berkeley's Graduate School of Journalism, and a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Her film Leaving Iraq for a Life in America (co-directed with Hanna Miller and Lacy Jane Roberts) was featured in THE ATLANTIC SELECTS, a series of short films curated by The Atlantic Magazine. Jon originally hails from Baton Rouge, Lousiana after which he hung his hat in Texas, Michigan, New York, and Maryland. Seeing almost all of the U.S. and some places overseas provided an extensive background with people but was not until he relocated back to the South that he found his niche. Siding in with a local theater arts departments like The Flying Monkey Arts and several other local theaters, he found his love for acting, writing, directing, set construction, etc. Helping to promote interesting, new, local, and outside music artists; and producing a new full length play every month for the next three or so years from aid of his comedy troupe Crash, Boom, Bang Theater which is now known as Can't Afford Cable, so long as it is creative and innovative, you can find Jon there. I’m a video filmer and editor based in Los Angeles, CA. I got my professional start working in house for The Berrics and have been making videos in the skateboarding industry for the last 16 years, for brands such as Nike SB, Adidas, Thrasher, Cory Kennedy, and Girl Skateboards. Years of filming skateboarding has taught me how to move fast, think quick, make it “look cool,” and always get the shot in focus. We recorded over 2,500 stories, with different lighting conditions, where my expertise as lighting director came in very handy. We traveled all over The United States, Europe, Mexico, South and Central America and most recently to China Wuhan, Beijing. A few years ago I was called by Julie Stav owner of Julie Stav Inc, whom I worked with in the past. She offered me an impressive project to create a state of the art television studio. I was responsible for the planning, creation and design of the studio project. Including technical operations, lighting design, work flow, and employee training. I worked for Julie Stav Inc. for 5 years continuously and still work on a freelance basis when called upon. Vanessa Crocini is an Italian journalist, award winning documentary filmmaker, photographer and Emmy nominated producer, currently located in Los Angeles. She graduated in Film from University of Bologna after being an exchange student at University of California, Santa Barbara. After completing a Post Graduate Program in Entertainment Studies at UCLA, she developed her interest in documentaries. Vanessa has worked on several film, commercial, music videos and documentary productions in Italy, Los Angeles and in the African continent. She has collaborated with the Italian national television RAI, Bonsai TV and Agon Channel. Her passion for documentaries has brought to several journalistic collaborations for several Italian film magazines and blogs. She mainly highlights and writes about films, filmmakers and stories that have a social interest. Her first feature length award winning documentary, Get Together Girls was produced by Vasco Rossi, the most famous Italian rockstar, for whom she shot the music video Mary Luise. Vanessa is part of SIMA (Social Impact Media Awards) as one of the journalists and members of the selection committee and her intention is keeping on writing about and making films that focus on social issues and expose impact topics. Among the projects she has worked on, The Empowerment Project, nominated for an Emmy Award by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter: National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, is one collaboration she is proud of. As the documentary shooter in the crew, Vanessa, together with other four women filmmakers, travelled across the USA in 2013 to interview exceptional women in their career fields. I’m a writer/director based in LA. I lived here before when I graduated in Film Directing at UCLA, and moved back to Brazil for a 4 years working journey. Over there I was head of content in a big production company called Capsula and later on I opened my own company: HERO. After two years working as a director/writer/producer and owner, I decided to come back to Los Angeles.  I’ve been in a hard routine on the past four years. With more than 500 hours of set and a lot of completed projects, as a writer and as a director. Hanaa is an award winner Saudi writer & director with a culturally diverse background. Hanaa began her filmmaking journey with “Loading”, a short experimental film shot on 35mm camera that won several awards since its inception. Hanaa holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Mass Communication from Egypt and Masters in Film and Media Production from Los Angeles. I started as a still photographer but gradually drifted to video, producing and editing. Using the same skills, I've found a love of telling stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. For the past 10 years I've worked as a camera operator, editor and director. I have worked in broadcast news for 7 years in the Las Vegas area. While out here I created a digital documentary series on the high school basketball powerhouse Findlay Prep. My series helped make the small team based out of Henderson, NV into a global destination for some of the top basketball athletes in the world. Our series documented the early careers of NBA Champion Cory Joseph, Cleveland Cavalier Tristan Thompson and Boston Celtic Avery Bradley. After basketball, music is another love. I helped created the music documentary series Suite Sessions (www.suitesessions.com). Our music series went behind the scenes with artists while they toured Las Vegas.

Stephen polished his craft in film and television at Boston University, graduating with honors. In 2010, he worked under Richard Gladstein, the producer of such greats: Reservoir Dogs, Pulp fiction, Jackie Brown, Finding Neverland. He has also worked as the personal intern to Director Louis Leterrier, whom directed The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans andNow You See Me. After graduating, he ran a small production company with his brother Nate. Stephen produced, directed, shot, and edited corporate videos and ads for local companies. While there, he also helped on three feature projects. He acted in a fiction feature The Longest Swim as well as Directed and DP'd second unit for the film. He also produced in post. The other two feature projects were Billy's Cap: A Southworth Story and Shinobi Ninja Doc. Both films were documentaries and Stephen shot a majority of both along with producing. Stephen has since moved to Los Angeles to continue his work in Film and TV.

Jack Hansen is a seasoned editor and sound designer based in Los Angeles, CA. With a BFA in Filmmaking from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Jack has over 12 years of editing, sound design, and post-producing experience. In 2019, Jack was nominated for the Anne V. Coates Student Editing Competition Award by American Cinema Editors (ACE). He attended the 2019 ACE Eddie Awards as one of three student finalists. I would like to continue to grow, and move forward with my career as a Director. I have been a paid videographer since I was 15 years old, studied cinema at George Mason University, and New York Film Academy, freelanced on major commercial sets with Jonas Akerlund for two years in Los Angeles, CA, and have been with Buzzfeed for what will be the total of 9 mos. I’ve been fortunate enough to work in Buzzfeed’s VR and 360 department using the Odyssey camera from Google. VR greatly interests me, and I believe it to be the “final frontier” of cinema. I am an avid traveler, and have been globe trotting since before I could walk. I completed a feature-length documentary, "Sailing On A Shoestring", for my senior thesis in college. The film is about my dad, who built his own boat during the height of the Apartheid in South Africa, and then proceeded to cross the Atlantic three times. The documentary allows him to relive his memories of sailing, and follows him in search of his vessel's fate. More recently, I have completed three short documentaries. Two of which from Film Stuff Productions in Italy and Poland, and the third with Buzzfeed.
