Kathleen Flynn is a New Orleans based photojournalist and documentary filmmaker, who focuses on stories of struggle and injustice. Flynn has spent nearly 20 years as a working journalist, including a decade at the Tampa Bay Times and three years at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune. She has covered in-depth community news, veterans issues throughout the country, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the tsunami in Thailand, immigration in Mexico, post-conflict Liberia, India’s booming pharmaceutical industry, and the war in Afghanistan. Her work has been recognized with six regional Emmys, honors from the Overseas Press Club, World Press Photo, Pictures of the Year International, the Edward R. Murrow awards, the Nieman Foundation, the National Press Photographers Association's Best of Photojournalism, and with a Casey Medal, which was awarded for the nation's best reporting on children, youth and families. In 2019 the National Press Photographers Association awarded their Humanitarian Award

Marcus is a Louisiana filmmaker who has had a hand in several areas of production from local tv spots to Hollywood South films. A New Orleans native and St. Augustine alum, he finished college at LSU receiving his Bachelor's in the area of Communication Studies while working with Tiger TV news and sports, as well as, several LSU theatre and media productions. He's worked in the Louisiana film industry since 2013 and have been apart of over 15 film and television projects during that time. He recently produced, directed, and shot an episode of BetteR, a documentary web series produced by NOVAC, which highlights groups and individuals in the Baton Rouge community in the aftermath of the events of the summer of 2016. The episode focuses on the internal and external struggles of media members, specifically WAFB Channel 9 in Baton Rouge, during the city’s most trying time and national spotlight. What started out as a simple short documentary episode, now has grown into a feature-length project, which is currently in production.

Born in New York, Shaquille Dunbar is a professional photographer and the owner of T.O.D Photography. T.O.D (The Optimist Dreamer) Photography was started with the belief that all dreams can come true through optimism and hard work. He uses photography to capture his clients dreams, whether they be a glamorous portrait, your personal brand or a special event. After graduating from Binghamton University, Shaq moved to New Orleans where he became a high school teacher. It was through teaching that he realized the best way to inspire his students was to pursue his dream. While teaching, he spent his free time capturing special moments around the city like the Jazz & Heritage Festival and New Orleans Caribbean Festival. But the essence of T.O.D Photography comes from capturing unique visual representations of all kinds of people. I became a freelance multi-media reporter in 2008 after a career as a fine artist/craftsman. I bring to my work a strong visual style- placing value on the look as well as the content. I branched into video and writing in 2010 as a frequent contributor to the Atlantic. Currently I'm a freelance contributor to DeSmog Blog, where I create in-depth environmental reports. I credit my passion for finding and telling stories to the many places I've lived through out my life. From the Deep South to the Northeast, I've kept my curiosity for different people and cultures open. I find seeking the stories of those who have persevered through some type of tragedy the most rewarding. I try to bring a unique perspective from their world to the viewer, often using symbolic b-roll, lots of music (when appropriate), and building trust to have them tell me the most intimate and personal information. I have been a contributing reporter for the internationally recognized media outlet VICE for a little over five years now. In my time writing for VICE, I've covered everything from Alabama's rural moonshine infrastructure to New Orleans' rising drag queen scene and written about America's first trans congressional candidates. I've also worked for CNN's Inside Man production team working with renowned filmmaker and documentarian Morgan Spurlock and spent several months working on the Emmy winning television series Top Chef. Over the previous two years I reported for a newspaper publisher in the Rocky Mountains where I received 10 Colorado Press Association awards in less than two years.
