Hello there! My name is Spencer Bruttig and I am a Washington, D.C. based film producer, DP and editor. I came out to DC from San Francisco to help start a new documentary and podcast production company (Tegna and Vault Studios) but most recently joined Google as an in-house creative producer working on their marketing team. I am also the Cinematographer on the D.C. based narrative series "Anacostia," as well as the Baltimore Comedy series "Thespian." I am also the DP on the new reality television show "City Boyz DC." I have worked on sets big and small, and I have used a number of different camera packages from Arri Alexa Mini, Sony FX and A series, to Red Weapons and Komodos, Canon C series and Black Magic URSAs. Ray Whitehouse (he/him) works at the intersection of documentary film and journalism. After growing up in Chicago, he lived in San Antonio, Texas, before moving to Washington, D.C. He works primarily as a director of photography. His feature-length directorial debut, A RUN FOR MORE, had its world premiere at Frameline in June 2022 and screened more than 30 festivals across the U.S. He served as the Second Unit DP on TO THE END, directed by Rachel Lears, which premiered at Sundance in 2022. BRING THEM HOME, a documentary short he co-directed and DP’d, premiered at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in 2022. He was part of the Washington Post team that was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for reporting about the Capitol insurrection and its aftermath. He’s worked as a cinematographer on more than 20 documentary features and filmed, produced and edited projects for The New York Times, The Washington Post, TIME, and Univision, among others. He is community coordinator for the D.C. chapter of Video Consortium and a regional co-chair of the Documentary Producers Alliance. He holds an M.A. in documentary journalism from UNC Chapel Hill and a B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University. The core tenets of his practice are transparency, collaboration and critical reflexivity.

Hello! My name is Nacho Corbella and storytelling is my passion. I love shaping a story, shooting and been in the field, interviewing, and everything else content gathering entails. There's something athletic in the act. You put your whole body and mind into it. It's exhausting but tremendously fulfilling. I enjoy enormously assembling the puzzle of what a multimedia story is. Reviewing and selecting material, deciding which asset is best to convey what the story portrays. It's like writing, but far better. You can have the most beautiful images and incredible bits of audio, but if you don't know how to order them and ultimately make sense of them for the viewer, it's useless. It's like loose words on a piece of paper. That's what I love about editing: you're creating a language. It's a full on mind game. Multimedia is the type of work that I love engaging with and doing, but also the type of work that I think is meaningful and can promote change. I firmly believe is a medium that can reach people and spur them to understand issues fully and, consequently help bring change, especially when done with dedication and quality.

CUTTER HODIERNE is a documentary cinematographer. He has also worked as an award-winning feature film director. His debut feature film FISHING WITHOUT NETS, a story of pirates in Somalia told from the perspective of the pirates, won 'Best Director' at the Sundance Film Festival and was called "Sundance's most beautiful film" by The Wrap. His short film of the same title garnered international acclaim, including the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance. The short was expanded into the first scripted feature film financed by VICE Studios and distributed by FOX. Cutter was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film and was a fellow at the Sundance Screenwriter's Lab. Enrique Huaiquil is a Chilean-American award-winning cinematographer, photojournalist, documentary photographer, video editor, and graphic artist based in Northern Virginia. He has covered a wide variety of issues, including the Central American caravans trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border, the aftermath of the earthquake in Puerto Rico, white supremacy in America, COVID-19 intensive care units, and immigration detention centers. Enrique has been documenting the immigration crisis in the U.S. In 2021, his focus was primarily on the growing Afghan community in the Washington, DC area as a result of the increased number of asylum seekers and refugees who had to flee Afghanistan with the American withdrawal in 2021. As a Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting grantee, he has explored and chronicled the challenges faced by refugees who evacuated Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover. Timothy Wolfer is a journalist and filmmaker. For over a decade he has been working on stories of humanitarian aid and migration. With a strong visual eye and a creative mind, I approach storytelling like a puzzle. How can I bring this to life? How can I take a simple idea and give it a voice and a vision?
