I am a photojournalist, filmmaker, and grad student in global development with a passion for exploring social and environmental issues. I've partnered with the Fuller Project for International Reporting to document Syrian teenage girls living in Turkey, produced web docs for Al Jazeera, and frequently collaborate with humanitarian organizations to tell intimate, character-driven stories to show the impact of their work. I am currently editing my first documentary about the loss of tradition and identity in a small Peruvian town. The funding came from a Kickstarter campaign and the film is expected to be released in late 2018. I previously worked as a staff photographer and multimedia editor at the St Louis Post-Dispatch. While in St. Louis I edited several multimedia projects and trained the photo staff in multimedia storytelling and editing. Kim S. Falck-Jørgensen is a Norwegian filmmaker with a bachelor’s degree in acting (Oslo Academy of the Arts) and a master’s degree in film directing (New York University Tisch Asia). While studying at NYU he had the opportunity to work on film projects in Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Korea, Vietnam, the USA and Guatemala. His short film Jaehyung in the Futures, was shot on location in South Korea and premiered at the Palm Springs International Short Film Festival in addition to winning the NYU First Run Festival Award for Achievement in Directing. His feature script, Walking With The Enemy, which is currently in development, has been shortlisted for the Sundance Screenwriters lab 2015. Currently, Kim directs, shoots and edits infomercials focused on organic food and agriculture in Norway, and is also doing a pilot for a tv-series about Norwegian contemporary artists who’re doing their art abroad.
