If you are looking for a professional video editor, you have come to right place! But first, a little about my experience and qualifications: My interest in video production really began in college. I discovered early on that a little creativity combined with the right software is key to success in a technology driven world. This understanding enabled me to learn as much as I could about Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign, Audition, and Dreamweaver. After four long years, I received my degree in multimedia with a minor in media production the at the University of Nebraska in Kearney in 2018. While I learned a lot during my time in college, most of my video editing experience came from working at KLKN-TV Channel 8 Eyewitness News, an ABC affiliate. Over the past year and a half, I edited more than one thousand shows. Not only did I learn rather quickly the importance of deadlines, I also discovered that finding the perfect balance between working independently and with a team was imperative to the success of the news station. Our team had to make sure that we were creating engaging content every day to keep our viewers interested. I chose to leave the news industry in order to fully open myself to other opportunities that required a little more creative freedom on my end. I believe my skills are easily transferable and my desire to work on projects that require a little more post-production work is unmatched. Growing up on a farm/ranch instilled a strong work ethic. I have been a singer/songwriter my entire life. My mother, however, was the only videographer out of an entire polynesian communtiy. Somewhere between touring Europe on a music contract at 17 and marrying my best friend and having 4 children, I have become my mother and love videography. Started out with weddings and made a killing and then editing was taking all of my time. I have now transitioned into more of what I can direct and create. Currently I have been helping more with small businesses, with social media presence and social media advertisements. I create "shorts" conent as well as docustyle film. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, I first picked up a camera when I was 18-years-old and immediately started my journey as a photojournalist. In 2014, I moved to Kansas City, Missouri, for school and began documenting communities on the east side of town. In 2020, I started my career as a freelance photographer and covered politics, policing, the impact of COVID-19 and homelessness.
