Elizabeth Hong is a producer and director, specializing in factual content. She is experienced in coordinating all aspects of video: post production, budget limitations and time restrictions. She has developed, directed, edited and produced multiple documentaries and web series for various digital platforms. After moving to Dallas, Texas in 2008, Elizabeth directed and produced Mercury Undercover, a feature that unveils the dirty truth about the dangers of mercury. I've reported on a wide range of issues, from seismic testing along the east coast to sexual assault among college students. I enjoy creating content that educates the public on lesser known issues that deserve more attention as well as writing stories/ producing videos that focus on subjects most people feel uncomfortable talking about. I've worked with the mayor of St. Augustine on various projects as well as reporters from CBS 12 in West Palm Beach, Florida, on a story about President Trump's "fake news" claims and their effects on what it's like to be a journalist during his presidency. I have also interned for Voice of America in Washington, D.C. for their documentary unit. We worked on a three-part series about the Parkland shooting that was published on VOA's website.
