Katie G. Nelson is an award-winning journalist, photographer and filmmaker from Minneapolis, MN. She covers human rights, racial justice and global health in the United States and East Africa. She is currently based in New York City, NY. Katie’s work has been published by The New York Times, National Geographic, BBC, Al Jazeera, Frontline PBS, The Telegraph, Associated Press and Public Radio International. Currently, Katie is most well known for her visual coverage of George Floyd’s murder for The New York Times. I am a Spanish-American documentary filmmaker and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY, currently finishing my first feature documentary, Freeing Juanita about a Guatemalan family attempting to free their niece from wrongful detention in northern Mexico. My first feature as cinematographer, The Art of Making It (2021), won the SXSW 2022 Audience Award in the Festival Favorites category. A recent short doc artist portrait I filmed for Art21 received a Vimeo Staff Pick.   The last documentary short I directed, Esquilas en la montaña / Bells in the Mountains (2017), screened at New Orleans Film Festival and San Francisco Documentary Festival. Kayle Hope is an Emmy nominated video journalist and drone journalism professor at the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY. Previously, she was a video producer for Quartz, covering science and technology. Kayle is passionate about using drones to better tell visual stories and educating the next generation of drone journalists. She is a Part 107 certified pilot and frequently incorporates aerial footage in her videos. Her reporting has taken her around the world from Cambodia to China, Bhutan, Switzerland, Germany, India, Nepal — and even on a deep dive in a submersible 1500 feet below the ocean surface, off the coast of the Bahamas. At 13 i was the paperboy in port of Athens, Greece. At 18 i was reading Paul Virilio trying to understand mass media & communication theories for college degree. At 19 i was reporting live on news radio. At 20 i was told i should drop radio for live TV. For next 6 years my news reporting repertoire spanned anything from an elephant's birthday to Athens street gangs violence, to dead sea lions to Middle East conflict zones and Olympic Games. One day i was told i should drop reporting for hosting breaking news. After a year of reading the teleprompter under intense studio lights (it felt like chicken broiler) at age 26 i moved to New York. At 28 i finished my photojournalism studies at ICP in NY. At 29 i signed as the NY Bureau Chief for ERT / Hellenic Broadcasting Corp. At 35 i founded IFFI Productions and Old Garage Studio in Brooklyn. Danny Ghitis (b. 1982) is an editorial and commercial photographer whose personal projects revolve around the relationship between memory and identity. The son of Jewish South American immigrants, he moved around a lot as a child, which helped him to develop a lifelong interest in documenting the lives of strangers and culturally ambiguous communities. With his work he attempts to pose questions, rather than answers, to challenge expectations and encourage introspection. He is a frequent contributor to The New York Times, and tends to spend all his money on traveling and chocolate. When he’s not taking pictures he enjoys rock climbing and playing Dungeons and Dragons with his nerdy friends. Josh advises on creative for The Democrats. He served in the Obama Administration as Director of Digital Strategy for the Department of Labor with Tom Perez. Josh directed videos to help Tom win the DNC Chair race. Josh also was the Digital Video Director for the DNC Convention in Philly– which until helping a lot of campaigns win in Virginia this November, was also the last time he felt truly happy. Josh is just your run-of-the-mill Asian Jew from Tulsa, OK. He produced digital content for both Obama campaigns and was part of the initial team at Tom Steyer’s NextGen Climate/America/Everything. After producing content for 7 races in the 2014 midterms, he took time off from face-punching climate deniers to conceive and carry out a citizen-empowering documentary on rising sea levels in the Maldives. This Bourdain-style travel series focuses on the human face of climate change around the world. Leah Galant is a Jewish filmmaker and Fulbright Scholar based in New York whose storytelling focuses on unexpected narratives that challenge perceptions. In 2021 she was recognized as one of DOC NYC’s 40 under 40. While at Ithaca College in 2015 she was named one of Variety’s "110 Students to Watch in Film and Media” for her work on THE PROVIDER that follows a traveling abortion doctor in Texas (SXSW 2016, Student Emmy Award) and BEYOND THE WALL about a formerly incarcerated individuals re-entry process. She was a Sundance Ignite and Jacob Burns Fellow where she created DEATH METAL GRANDMA (SXSW 2018) about a 97 year old Holocaust survivor named Inge Ginsberg who sings death metal which won “Best Documentary” at the American Pavilion at Cannes Film Festival, and is a NY Times Op Doc. Leah is a member of Meerkat Media worker-cooperative film production company. Leah's directorial debut ON THE DIVIDE premiered at the Tribeca 2021 Film Festival and will broadcast on POV PBS in the Spring of 2022 which she also shot.

Noah Graham is Steadicam Operator, FAA Licensed Drone Operator, and Director of Photography, located in New York City, and Boston. Noah specializes in commercial video work, music videos and documentary. He is able to bring beautiful cinematic visuals to each genre helping tell each story to its fullest potential. Azza Cohen is a documentary filmmaker and historian currently based in New York City. She holds a master’s degree in colonial history from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and a bachelor’s degree in history from Princeton University. She has experience directing, producing, editing and teaching documentary film. She has filmed from a moving rickshaw in Sanchi, India, held a waterproofing garbage bag gingerly over a lens in Dublin, Ireland, and held the camera steady with a chollo cactus stuck in her foot – Azza brings a positive attitude, creative eyes, and problem solving skills from artistic and academic endeavors. Her documentary work includes: Specks of Dust, a documentary profiling a group of Indian activists fighting human trafficking on the India-Nepal border; Desert Laboratory, a short on the apprentices of the legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright; and Refugee, Refugee, a microdocumentary following a Rwandan refugee adjusting to life in the USA. She thrives through multimedia storytelling and scholarship, through pieces such as: “The Invisible Irish Border” (invisibleirishborder.tumblr.com) on the effects of Brexit on rural border towns in Ireland and “Jigsaw City” (jigsawcity.tumblr.com) on the problem of racial segregation in St. Louis. Joe Hill is a journalist, photographer, and media producer. He is currently an Associate Producer for Vice News Tonight on HBO. Joe began his professional career as the founder and Executive Director of The Unexpected Laboratory, a creative production company that confronted current affairs with multimedia storytelling. Now called Round Room Image, his company focuses on international nonfiction media production. He just returned from shooting a feature film in Venezuela and from working for the Witness Program of Al Jazeera Network in Doha, Qatar. He has filmed educational videos with the Deaf community in Ethiopia, photographed political rallies in Pakistan, and has advanced Spanish language skills from his time in Cuba and Chile. He is a recent graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he created his own degree program called Image Production and Representational Studies. Carey is a photojournalist and cinematographer based in Brooklyn, NY. After ten action-packed years as a staff photographer at the Sun Sentinel, Fresno Bee, Desert Sun and Auburn Journal, she went independent in 2011 to pursue work about women around the world. She has told stories about gender-based violence in Papua New Guinea, child marriage in Nepal, sex trafficking in Seattle, meth addiction and childbirth in California, street harassment in New York and domestic violence in Florida. Carey has lived and photographed extensively throughout the Caribbean, Latin America, and Asia Pacific. Her clients have included CARE, The New York Times, NBC News, Wall Street Journal, the Los Angeles Times, and Sports Illustrated. She is also a Nikon School Instructor as well as a storytelling mentor and coach. Carey reported from Papua New Guinea as an IRP Health Fellow in 2012. Over the last 18 years, I have worked in almost every field of film, TV and video production and television journalism, and have spent the last nine years managing my own news and media production company. I have an excellent knowledge of the industry, as well as a proven track record of running a company and managing staff, projects and budgets. I have lived and worked in many different countries, all over the world, producing anything from news and feature stories, to sport, to branded content and everything in between. My experience overseas has given me a truly unique perspective on global current affairs and has fostered a deep interest in exploring every story I come across from as many different perspectives as I can see. I also have experience of working in conflict zones, covering major riots in China in 2008 and 2009, and I was in Libya for one month, during the fall of Tripoli, working for APTN. I have also covered several natural disasters, including the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake and flooding in Southern China. As well as possessing exceptional writing skills, my work in TV and new media, has given me a unique skill set, enabling me to get a message out to the widest possible audience, in the most engaging way and often to a tight budget. Working as a video journalist/producer, I have acquired further skills as a story-teller. I am an excellent lighting cameraman and video editor, filming on a wide range of cameras and formats and able to script and edit to tight deadlines. I am also a skilled Steadicam operator, with my own rig, suitable for most requirements. Post-production-wise, I consider myself an expert in the use of Premiere, Audition, Photoshop, Lightroom and After Effects, as well as several other programs in the Creative Suite. I also regularly edit with Final Cut Pro, Avid and Davinci Resolve. I am equally at home in the pre-production office, in front or behind the camera, in the edit suite or in a live studio environment. Rebecca Davis is an Emmy Award-winning video journalist and documentary producer based in New York City. She was a senior producer with NBC News from 2013 through 2019 where she helped to launch NBC News' first digital video unit. Her work there focused on short-form documentaries and original video series. Previously she worked with the New York Daily News, where she covered everything from the Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest and the New York Jets to Occupy Wall Street and Hurricane Sandy.
