Edgardo Antonio Jr. is a filmmaker, photographer and editor. He is currently based in Brooklyn, NY, and working as an Assistant Editor at Jigsaw Productions. With over 4 years of journalism and documentary filmmaking experience, Edgardo has worked as a staff reporter for Richmond Pulse, post-productuction coordinator and operations manager at Loteria Films, and many video production internships, and odd jobs. His film work includes Dignidad En Accion, a short documentary on domestic worker rights in the Bay Area, DACA: 2 Years After, a video series depicting the aftermath of DACA for two youth in Richmond, and Cristian, 19, a profile piece of a young man’s experience with juvenile detention, court school and reentry. His photography has appeared on Richmond Pulse, New America Media, and Diaspora Drama Zine, as well on his self-published site. In addition, Edgardo Antonio Jr. worked for Anna Deavere Smith on The Pipeline Project, a long term investigation into America’s education and youth criminal justice system and how youth are caught in its throes. He is a graduate of Stanford University with a degree in Urban Planning and a minor in Film and Media Studies, class of 2011.
