My name is Andreas Vingaard. I'm originally from Denmark but I'm based in New York. Deepashri Varadharajan is an engineer-turned-journalist from Hyderabad, India. She worked in print and online media in India, covering science, healthcare, child abuse and sex trafficking. Varadharajan specialized in documentary filmmaking at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she independently filmed, edited and directed a short docuemntary on long-term unemployment among older workers. She is currently doing a fellowship at Al Jazeera America in New York City.
