Previously, Nick was a Producer/Editor for National Geographic's Digital Team. Nick's background as a biologist has taken him to the Caribbean, where he traveled with a team to aid efforts in the conservation of a critically endangered species of iguana. During Nick's career he has had the opportunity to repel into crevasses of glaciers, film aerial footage from helicopters, and swim alongside sea turtles and sharks, all in order to "get the shot". Nick specializes in field production and strives to find and share meaningful stories that shed light on environmental and wildlife issues.

A versatile multi-skilled journalist, Aman Azhar has more than 10 years of international broadcast journalism experience. Previously, he worked as a broadcast journalist and multimedia producer for the BBC World Service, VOA News and other international news organizations, reporting from London, Islamabad, the United Arab Emirates and New York. He holds a graduate degree in Anthropology of Media from University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and an MA in Political Science from the University of the Punjab, and is the recipient of the Chevening scholarship from the UK government and an academic scholarship for graduate studies from the Australian government. In 2005, he won a grant to attend a doctoral research seminar on global media policy research jointly organized by the University of Oxford’s St. Catherine’s College and University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School for Communication. He also received the Franklin Award and a citation from the U.S. State Department for outstanding reporting on Pakistan. His reporting for Inside Climate News is focused on environmental justice issues faced by politically disenfranchised communities of color and low income communities across the United States.

Prior to co-founding WHTV, he directed and produced documentaries and news features for PBS, A&E, ESPN, CBS, CNN, and others. Before moving to Washington, DC in 1992 he spent time in New York City as an independent filmmaker working at Global Village and The New School. Prior to that, he produced features for CNN in Atlanta and news stories for the CBS affiliate in Seattle. Chris has won numerous awards for his work in film and television. He has been recognized by his peers for excellence in production over the years and currently serves as a jury chairman for the Cine Golden Eagle Awards. He also judges for the Emmy Awards at the request of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Chris has a joint B.A. in English and Government with a minor in Fine Arts from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
