1 reviewBrian Bayerl is a multi-award winning documentary filmmaker. He began his career at PBS in South Florida where he earned two AP Awards and a regional Emmy. Since then his cinematography and editing has been seen in such shows as Showtime's The Circus, Animal Planet's Swamp Wars, Bravo's Real Housewives of Miami, National Geographic's The Years of Living Dangerously, and Funny or Die. His film work includes 8: The Mormon Proposition with Academy Award winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black which premiered at Sundance Film Festival and For Once in My Life with Grammy Nominated Mark Moormann winner of the Audience Award at SXSW. As a director, his first feature documentary Full Circle: Before They Were Famous chronicled Andy Warhol and Robert Indiana’s rise to international pop art fame through a series of never before seen photographs. It has been screened around the world, including The Warhol Museum, The British Museum in London, and on PBS stations. His other films include Datuna: Portrait of America (Winner, Raindance Film Festival, London), Taylor & Ultra: On the 60s, The Factory and Being a Warhol Superstar (Nominated Best Doc Short, Tribeca Film Festival, New York) and Foster Shock, an expose on the Foster Care System in Florida (Nominated Best Feature Doc, Suncoast Regional Emmy Awards). He was recently recognized as a Focus on Florida Filmmaker by the Knight Foundation.
