Kavita Bahl is a multiple award winning documentary filmmaker based in Mumbai, India. She has thrice received the National Film Award for her feature length documentaries - Cotton for my shroud(2011), Candles in the wind (2013)& I cannot give you my Forest (2014). She specialises in production of non-fiction content, since last 25 years. Her films are about gender issues, environment, Aboriginal communities, education & culture of the Indian subcontinent. She started as a journalist and worked with 'India Express' for 7 years. As a journalist who travelled the length and breath of her country digging people's narratives from the margins and mainstreaming them finally found her niche in the documentary. Hard-hitting yet poignant, her films are portraits of an India which lives on the margins. Kavita is a producer, Director, cinematographer, script/content writer, voice artist & a photographer. She is bilingual and has an equally good command over English & Hindi. She can write & narrate in both the languages. She did her Masters in English Literature from Delhi University before training in journalism. She has produced films in the toughest terrains in India : Kashmir & north-east India. ABEER KHAN is an Indian Director and Photographer based out of Mumbai. Her work spans documentary, narrative, brand films, and video art. Career highlights include world premieres at Künstlerinnenhaus Mousonturm, Berlin, Kochi Biennale, Ted Rogers Cinema, and Toronto Canada. A Berlin commercial fest shortlist, her films were displayed during the Conference of the Parties 27 in Egypt and COP28 Dubai. Her photographs were widely exhibited in Spain's train stations, including Madrid's Atocha, Barcelona, and Bilbao. 'Monitor 15', a collection of films, for the film 'Child Lock', curated by SAVAC, Canada 2023. As an artist, her work explores themes of inequality, injustice, gender roles, memory, childhood, language, grief, and spaces through a nonconformist, empathetic, and introspective lens in fiction, non-fiction, and video art. I started my career contributing to Tehelka magazine and then work with The Dainik Jagran Group and The Times of India. Between 2017 and 2023 I was working with VICE Media Group's India office. I have directed and produced documentaries on topics ranging from sex trafficking along the Nepal-India border, child marriage, legalisation of marijuana, gender-based violence against Dalit women, to profiling ex-gangsters, illegal diamond mining in a national park, forced hysterectomies and covering the farmers' protest. I have also produced and directed pieces from other regions in Asia that include a profile of the legendary women's march in Lahore, Pakistan, and the illegal and forced disappearance of Bangladeshi journalists (text and video). I also contributed articles for VICE Asia and reported from the ground during the Delhi riots of 2020. I was also the creative director for The Dark Side, an investigative podcast series produced by VICE for Audible.

Venice Is a a documentary film maker and photographer from the Philippines. Since she was little, stories has been a way for her to encounter life. From those told by grandmother about their province of origin to the ones by the people she meets and eventually films, the spoken words, and shared images builds bridges for her to the world of others. She graduated from the University of the Philippines Film Institute in 2012. In 2015 - 2017, she was accepted into the 4th Edition of the Doc Nomads Joint Masters in Documentary Film Directing which takes place in Lisbon, Budapest and Brussels. She currently resides in Manila, Philippines where she is completing her first film; “Under the Stars”-- which was funded by the IDFA Bertha Fund Classic. She is also producing the film “Xixi” by Taiwanese director, Fan Wu.

Active since 2012, Ishan Sadwelkar is an indie writer-director, poet and researcher based in India active in fiction and non-fiction. Hands-on and self-made: Ishan has his roots in humble, frugal indie film-making before going on to mentor under award-winning directors across fiction, non-fiction and advertising. His primary love is storytelling – visual and literary – with pursuits into undocumented, lesser-spoken stories seeking narrative ground to strike.
