Alexandra is a Chinese-American director-producer, born and raised in Orange County, CA. For her Bachelor of Arts degree, she attended Scripps College, double majoring in Media Studies and Asian Studies. In college, she was first interested in documentary filmmaking. She gained experience working on documentaries – the Official Beijing Olympics Film called "The Everlasting Flame," Brett Morgen’s "Crossfire Hurricane," John Rowe’s "Omo Child: The River and the Bush," and ping-pong documentary, "Top Spin." However, her first internship was with Spyglass Entertainment. One of her most rewarding experiences was working with Ellen Sandler, writer and EP on Everybody Loves Raymond, on Ms. Sandler’s directorial debut in the web series, “Marisa Rules.” Alexandra was the 2nd AD and Casting Associate on the production. After attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Asia in Singapore for her Masters of Fine Arts degree, she realized her strengths and focused on being a director and producer. Alexandra has directed five short films in Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Orange County, CA, and Long Island, NY respectively. Her short film, “Sophie,” has done very well in festivals. It has screened at over fifteen film festivals around the world, including Oscar-qualifying film festivals, Austin Film Festival (World Premiere) and Foyle Film Festival (International Premiere). She’s also produced short films in the Philippines, China, Mexico, and in numerous cities in the US.
