Lauren Schwartzman is a documentary film director, editor, and producer based in Los Angeles, California. She also works as an archival producer for documentary films. Lauren was the Associate Producer and Assistant Editor for the Oscar-nominated documentary Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution (2020, Dir. Nicole Newnham, Jim LeBrecht). Jared Chiang-Zeizel is a published author, award-winning writer, filmmaker and avid lucid dreamer. He opted out of a typical high school life and spent the better part of his senior year in China. Upon his return to the States, Jared attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. There he wrote several feature films and directed numerous shorts. While attending NYU, he won the David Chase Honorary Scholarship Award for Screenwriting. He graduated 2009 with a BFA in Film & Television Production. She was born in Mainz, Germany, where she attended German schools and after receiving the Abitur moved to Los Angeles to study Film and Television Production at Loyola Marymount University. S-hekh Shem Hetep Ebron is a freelance director hailing from Brooklyn, NY, who deeply believes in the transformative power of storytelling. S-hekh Shem started her career in journalism, allowing her to live in Paris and travel to over 38 countries. S-hekh Shem met people from all walks of life who inspired her ensuing work. Hello, My name is Bernard, I am a French American and a filmmaker for over 35+ years. As a cameraman and DP I grew up during the “Old-School” era of classic filmmaking I have been influenced by the work and by the philosophy of great cinematographers of the Nouvelle Vague period in France. My most prominent inspiration is Nestor Almandros who created cinema Vérité in Cuba (Oscar winner for Kramer vs Kramer and The Blue Lagoon). My brother, Gérard Blain, was an renown actor in France during this period. (Le Beau Serge /Jean-Claude Chabrol, in the US for his part in Hatari /John Wayne) The Nouvelle Vague took the camera out of the studios and with very little money they created master pieces, and a whole new direction and approach to filmmaking. That is not to say I am not acquainted with more modern takes of filmmaking. I am also heavily inspired by the early MTV's style of camerawork. The freedom; breaking the rules with lighter cameras and the preference for videos over films, a new style was created. I am from both of those worlds. And for me, the simple rule is to keep the viewers undisturbed from technical effects, if in fact they are needed at all to begin with. Over the 35 years of filming and documenting wood sculptors, I have mastered ways of filming and producing that makes you feel closer to the art piece. As a producer, I was looking for the creative process; the soul behind the art. I love doing interviews, I am used to go on the road and sometimes do the interviews myself, the camera, set-up, audio... everything! A one man show! (Beyond Wood series) In 1998, I was already encoding videos with “Real Player”. Today I create posts on Facebook, YouTube and other social media outlets. Roham Rahmanian Roham Rahmanian is a cinematographer and director, who is obsessed with storytelling. His passion for adventure and photography has led him to shoot and operate in the air, underwater and everywhere in between. Most recently, Rahmanian shot the cover of TIME Magazine’s June 2018 Drone special that won the prestigious 2019 ASME award for best business and technology cover. The image is the first in the magazine’s history shot with a drone, and features 958 ​Intel Shooting Star drones in a 328-foot-tall version of the iconic red logo and border. Alongside two colleagues, he is a founder of The Astronaut's Guild, a visionary production company that blends high technology and virtual reality. over the past decade, Rahmanian has lensed thousands of commercials for clients including Sony, Mercedes Benz and Coca-Cola. This year he also traveled the world with DP Paul Cameron, ASC shooting Apple’s most recent commercial campaign. Rahmanian has also worked extensively with cinematographer Ben Seresin, with whom he shares a passion for aeronautical formation flying and YAK jet trainers. For the past four years, he has also worked with the Oscar nominated-DP Greig Fraser, ASC, ACS on numerous commercials as his digital technologist. In 2017, Rahmanian received the International Cinematographers Guild (ICG)’s prestigious Emerging Cinematographer Award for his film ​Break the Will,​ which screened at the renowned Camerimage International Film Festival in Poland. Also in film, Rahmanian worked with Matthew Libatique, ASC on ​Straight Outta Compton​ as camera operator and underwater operator; and on director Doug Liman’s ​Chaos Walking​ as on set colorist. His work on music videos includes directing and underwater cinematography on outstanding clips, such as ​My Willing Heart​ for James Blake starring a pregnant Natalie Portman and Guy Pearce’s ​Golden Heart​. After graduating from USC's School of Cinematic Arts, Rahmanian’s experience with cameras allowed him to find work as a Digital Imaging Technician for film, TV, and commercials. He is Canadian and currently resides in the U.S.A. While Rahmanian has always viewed life through the lens of a camera, he also has his sights set on becoming an astronaut. Given that he gained his pilot license by age 26, he may well become the world’s first astronaut cinematographer. Her broadcast documentaries take a cross-platform approach, tailoring spin off content into digital, social media and curriculum-ready educational films to maximize audience reach. I fly the drone and use gimbals to capture dynamic, high-quality footage that is always motivated by the story. I have access to the following gear.
