I'm a videographer and editor based in Los Angeles, working primarily in the music world but open to all projects. I have worked as a DP on independent shorts and fashion editorials, shot/edited various behind-the-scenes videos, shot/directed/edited a number of music videos, and have worked as an editor and assistant editor on popular YouTube reality shows, among other roles. Prior to this experience, I ran a Greek food company for which I also did food photography and videography. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2015 with a degree in Culture and Politics, emphasis on media and the environment. At Georgetown, I studied documentary film, worked as the university photographer/videographer, interned at a documentary production company in New York, and worked on several student film projects, one of which went on to screen at festivals worldwide.

I look for stories that are off the beaten path that elucidate the human experience. From investigative journalism to music videos, I let the story take me on adventures I could never have imagined myself. The name Selva City (selva is Jungle in Spanish) comes from experiencing Urban jungles across the US, Europe, Africa, The Caribbean and Latin America. I've produced and directed stories for VICE Media, ESPN Deportes, ABC, HBO and a bunch of online properties. In addition to producing and directing, I shoot, write, edit and am comfortable in front of the camera. I'm certified in hostility training, first aid and first response. I'm a documentary filmmaker and camerawoman with a passion for social justice. Armed with little more than a camera and backpack, I have traveled the world documenting stories from the margins, inspired by legions of women, workers, activists and young people dedicating their lives and loves to social change. From Aids orphans in Kenya, green truck drivers in Long Beach, grandmother abalone divers in Japan and maids in Las Vegas, I'm constantly inspired by stories that not only move us, but move us to action. Justin L. Stewart is an independent visual journalist from Jackson Hole, Wyoming who is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Justin earned his Master of Arts in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri and his Bachelor of Arts in Film & Photography from Montana State University - Bozeman. John Javellana (b. 1984, Philippines) is a photojournalist based in Los Angeles, CA. His professional career started in 2008 as he was completing his degree as a Communication Arts major at the De La Salle University when he was hired as a stringer for the Reuters News Agency. After completing his degree, he became one of the youngest photojournalists to work for the wire agencies in the country and has covered most of the major news event up to this day. I love traveling, I love adventure, but most of all I love producing video stories. I've been working in video production since 2012 when I started graduate school at the University of Southern California. It was there that I learned the craft of documentaries. I spent two years living in Anchorage, Alaska, traveling around the state producing videos for Alaska Public Media. My videos ranged from mini documentaries for our Indie Alaska series, to underwriting spots for our sponsors. I now freelance out of Southern California. I'm a one-man band.
