Luciano Onça studied history at the University of São Paulo, worked as a teacher and manager of public policy at the Ministry of Culture of Brazil. Began producing documentaries 3 years ago. His output is made in partnership with the Publica (www.apublica.org), Agencia de Jornalismo Investigativo in São Paulo and is focused on the theme of human rights. Immigration, labor rights and cultural production are his main subjects of interest. Four of his short films were shown by Canal Futura TV and were selected for major film festivals such as Tiradentes, Visões Periféricas, Femina and Entretodos de Direitos Humanos de São Paulo, which won the award for Best Educational Film Short with "100 % Boliviano, mano.”
