Fernanda Pessoa is a Brazilian filmmaker, working primarily on documentary, experimental cinema and videoinstallations. PhD candidate at University of São Paulo (ECA/USP), she holds a MFA in Film Studies at the Sorbonne Nouvelle, under Philippe Dubois’ direction. In 2017, Pessoa released her first feature documentary "Stories our cinema did (not) tell”, screened and awarded in several international festivals, distributed by Brazilian Netflix. Her second long documentary “Arid Zone” received an Honorable Mention at Dok Leipzig and is available in international streamings. She was a Berlinale Talents in 2019. Her work has been screened in some of the main documentary festivals in the world, such as IDFA, RIDM, DOC NYC, DocLisboa, Brasilia Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Cinélatino Toulouse, and in institutions as BIENALSUR, REDCAT/CalArts, IMS (Institut Moreira Salles) São Paulo’s Museum of Sound and Image, Paço das artes, among others. She’s currently working on the documentary “Swing and Sway”, supported by the Visions Sud Est Fund and selected for the Sheffield Doc Arts Talent Market, for Arché at DocLisboa and the Ji.hlava New Visions Forum, and on a short film called “Order prevails”, commissioned by the Videoart Award at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco.

Raphael Bottino is born and raised in São Paulo (Brazil) and works in the film market since 2004, when he began as production assistant and assistant director. As a producer he made videoclips, commercial ads, corporate films and shorts. In 2008 he joined Sala12 Filmes, where he worked as executive producer for theatrical docs, such as Grey City (2013), and produced and directed Yoani’s Trip (2015). He is the executive producer of the Chile-Brazil co-production Dios Me Libre (2011). I am a freelancer photographer and documentarist based btw São Paulo and NYC. Born in1987 in São Paulo. Nowadays, I'm splitting my time between press assignments, long term artistic projects and creating visuals for brands. Currently finishing my first feature documentary as a director, a film entitled "Mud Trail" that tells the story of the social and ecological disaster in Mariana, Brazil, through the eyes of two boys in their early 20's. Avener Prado was born in Porto Velho, state of Rondônia, in northern Brazil, in 1991. He began his career as a photo-documentary artist in the Brazilian Amazon at the age of 18. He joined the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo as a photojournalist in 2012. Tali grew up in São Paulo and moved to the UK in 2005 to study filmmaking. In 2009 she graduated from the Edinburgh College of Art Film course and followed on to do an MA in documentary directing. Alessio Ortu was born in Italy in 1980. Since 2001 he worked and lived in London, Los Angeles, New York, Rome and São Paulo where he is based since 2011. Between 2008 and 2015 he worked for the Italian production company Hirafilm, producing two movies, both by director Gianclaudio Cappai: the medium-length "I know there's a man", presented at the 2009 Venice Film Festival and over 40 festivals and special events worldwide, and the feature "Leaving No Trace", that premiered at the 2016 Bari International Film Festival. Documentary filmmaker, editor, researcher, screenwriter, sound recordist. Born in Natal in 1983 and raised in Bahia, I came to São Paulo in 2001 to study Audiovisual Production. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from the University of São Paulo and have worked as an assistant director, sound recordist and editor over the last few years. My experiences with the Cinemateca Brasileira’s movie collection and my taste for research have boosted one of my passions: archived images and projects that speak to memory and history. Since 2012, I have worked mainly as a director for documentary projects, both made for TV and corporate, as well as an editor for several other projects, including fiction. I directed four shorts, two of them aired in ESPN Brazil: "The Amazing Stories of a Ghost Ship" (doc, 26', 2015) and "Following the Line: the History of Ricardo Prado" (doc, 26', 2016). The films were screened in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Sweden, in festivals such as It's All True, Hot Docs, FICVIÑA and FESTIn Lisboa. I also directed the third season of a television series entitled "O Papel da Vida" ("The Role of a Lifetime"), which was aired in 2014 in the television channel Canal Brasil. And "Families", a documentary TV series screened at the Brazilian Public Television Network, including TV Cultura and Futura. It won the Prix Jeunesse Iberoamericano - 11 to 15 years, non-fiction. "I'm Still Alive" is his first documentary feature. Released at the 25th CinePE in November 2021, it won the Best Director Award, Best Editor Award, Distribution Award and Special Mention. I'm starting to produce a new television series for the Brazilian TV channel Arte1 and my second documentary feature.

Naor is an anthropologist and documentary filmmaker living in London and São Paulo. He writes, shoots and directs films focused on culture, social mobilization and human rights.
