Thais Drassinower is a Peruvian filmmaker who graduated with High Honors from one of the most prestigious advertising programs at The University of Texas at Austin. She then moved to Chicago to work as a copywriter at the worldwide headquarters of Leo Burnett for Lápiz; their Hispanic creative shop. She wrote commercial scripts and traveled around the continent to shoot them: Mexico City, Buenos Aires, New York, San Francisco. My short script FOREVER TONIGHT won the 2019 BlueCat Screenplay Competition and was also a finalist for the Showtime® Tony Cox Screenplay Competition. My next short, WIRE & CLOTH was the recipient of a 2019 Alfred P. Sloan production award and is currently in preproduction. Brooke Saias (she/her) is an independent filmmaker, producer, and director based in New England. She collaborates with various organizations, institutions, production companies, and artists. She is also an Associate Producer with Arch+Bow Films supporting independent films with bold artistic vision. Recent credits include the feature documentary RICHLAND (Tribeca, 2023). In her independent film practice she explores issues of memory, identity, and diaspora.
