I was born in Oregon, grew up on a sailboat in central America until I was eleven, built a house with my father in Key West, and eventually attended Vassar College. Today my passion for travel, adventure, and learning continues to drive my life and work. Ian J. Connors got his start behind the camera in the US Military with the 1st Combat Camera Squadron. As a combat camera person Ian was challenged to produce quality imagery and compelling stories in some of the most austere conditions in some of the worlds hotspots to including; Bosnia, Korea, The Middle East, and New Jersey. The skills and work ethic he learned in the military translated well to being a freelance cinematographer. He left the military and moved to Seattle and started Directing, Producing, and being a cinematographer for multiple award winning documentaries, corporate videos, and music videos. He attended the Newhouse school of Journalism at Syracuse University and the Seattle Film Institute.
