NORBERT SHIEH is a Taiwanese-American filmmaker and cinematographer based in Los Angeles. He has directed commissioned projects for KCET, The Autry Museum, European Capital of Culture, and Pacific Arts Movement. As a DP he has lensed projects for clients such as FOX Studios, Hulu, Wired Magazine, Siemens, CCTV, and JetBlue. When I was a toddler my parents couldn't find me a babysitter, so they did what any responsible guardians would've done... they brought me to my first Saturday matinee... Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. That first encounter with movie magic exploded into a lifelong passion that had taken me from acting to art direction to producing. I even gave music a shot as a singer-songwriter. But that hectic vagabond existence became hard to sustain. I needed to refine my focus. After soul searching and strategizing my next step in a new direction, I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to work on one element of filmmaking. I wanted to work on them all, but that didn't seem possible... until I discovered the joy of editing. Since that time, I've earned my B.F.A. at the Academy of Art University where I majored in editing, while simultaneously starting ScreenDrifter Productions -- my freelance post production company. ​ Being an editor has been the most rewarding avenue I've walked down in my creative journey and I'm excited for whatever future collaborations are on the horizon.

Alexandra is a Chinese-American director-producer, born and raised in Orange County, CA. For her Bachelor of Arts degree, she attended Scripps College, double majoring in Media Studies and Asian Studies. In college, she was first interested in documentary filmmaking. She gained experience working on documentaries – the Official Beijing Olympics Film called "The Everlasting Flame," Brett Morgen’s "Crossfire Hurricane," John Rowe’s "Omo Child: The River and the Bush," and ping-pong documentary, "Top Spin." However, her first internship was with Spyglass Entertainment. One of her most rewarding experiences was working with Ellen Sandler, writer and EP on Everybody Loves Raymond, on Ms. Sandler’s directorial debut in the web series, “Marisa Rules.” Alexandra was the 2nd AD and Casting Associate on the production. After attending NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Asia in Singapore for her Masters of Fine Arts degree, she realized her strengths and focused on being a director and producer. Alexandra has directed five short films in Singapore, Hong Kong, France, Orange County, CA, and Long Island, NY respectively. Her short film, “Sophie,” has done very well in festivals. It has screened at over fifteen film festivals around the world, including Oscar-qualifying film festivals, Austin Film Festival (World Premiere) and Foyle Film Festival (International Premiere). I have an insatiable appetite for storytelling. I co-founded in 2012, Beat the Streets Los Angeles, a nonprofit youth development organization. As Creative Director for this sports based org, I use film, photography and design to support our communication strategy. As often with nonprofits, we operate on a lean set of resources so I have become accustom to producing, shooting and editing our short documentaries, commercials and video articles solo while upholding an editorial standard. Since 2008 I have been working on independent films, mostly documentaries, and freelancing on digital media projects. I have a MFA in dramatic writing from New York University and a BA in English from Yale University. In February 2015 my documentary "The Rivalry: Red V. Blue" about the college basketball rivalry between the University of Louisville and the University of Kentucky premiered on ESPN Classic and Kentucky Educational Television. Currently, I am finishing post on two docs: "Last of the Showmen" about Broadway entertainer Ben Vereen and "Boston Loud" about the Boston hardcore band TREE. My first documentary "Toxic Soup" was an environmental expose, which screened in the Atlanta Film Festival, the New Jersey Film Festival and the Twin Cities Film Festival, among others. "Toxic Soup" was broadcast on Free Speech TV, Explora TV, Ushuaia TV and Press TV. These documentaries are reflective of the kinds of stories that I hunt for: environmental, sports and music / arts.

Samantha André is an independent director, cinematographer, and editor with a special focus on women’s rights and social issues around the world. She has directed, produced, or edited projects for VICE, TWITTER, APPLE TV, PBS, RAPHA and THE FRONT. Her work has led her to cover character driven stories such as the LGBT refugees in Europe, police brutalities for the ACLU, climate change in an indigenous Alaskan village, child marriage in Kenya, disability activism in the US, and women's health in professional sports. She is currently working on finishing her first feature documentary, Mary’s Way. Filmed over the course of five years, it is the portrait of one girl’s journey to help bring an end to female genital mutilation and child marriage in her Kenyan community. A short version of her film was screened in New York to raise awareness for FGM in partnership with the United Nations. When Samantha is not working on a documentary, she can be found hiking mountains, biking, or playing soccer.
